Gukbabi-ga Bucheon Main Branch is a gukbap (Korean soup with rice) restaurant on the 1st floor of Piltown, 78 Jungdong-ro 254beon-gil, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, open from 9:40 AM to 10:00 PM. Today was a gukbap date with my sister!! This is the spot for a good lunch in Sinjungdong — Gukbabi-ga Sinjungdong branch ^^!!!

It's near Exit 3 of Sinjungdong Station hahaha, tucked in the restaurant alley behind Lotte Department Store ~ Being right between the station and the restaurant alley makes it easy to find hahaha.

Gukbabi-ga menu and prices

(Sinjungdong Station Gukbabi-ga menu board) Special hanwoo daechang gukbap is ₩13,900, +₩1,000 to upgrade to large, and gukbap dishes can be changed to a set meal for +₩4,500. In the evening there's assorted boiled pork (modeum suyuk) and hangover soup (sulguk), great as anju (drinking snacks) haha. A place where you can eat well for lunch or dinner for around ₩10,000!!

Inside the restaurant: is Gukbabi-ga comfortable for solo diners?

Gukbabi-ga Bucheon Main Branch has an overall spacious layout with lots of tables, so it seems like a really good spot for eating alone in Sinjungdong hahahaha. We visited in the late afternoon and saw a lot of families there too haha.

Side dishes and the self-bar with unlimited sundae and rice

The basic side dishes are sundae, kimchi, ssamjang (dipping sauce), peppers, and onion. If you need more, you can use the self-bar ~ The sundae is soft and delicious haha. If you love it, you can eat as much as you want, which is great. Personally the kimchi is really tasty hahaha, I refilled it haha.

Pork gukbap, 9,900 won: broth and meat

Pork gukbap with milky broth and a deep flavor — it's so nice to be able to eat this at such an affordable price!!! I recommend it to anyone like me who prefers a gukbap with more meat than sundae hahahaha.

It's made every day with domestic bone broth plus medicinal herbs, which is the key to the deep flavor ~ No gamy smell at all, just savory and delicious hahaha.

Even though we ordered the regular size, there was so much meat. You can eat it without feeling shorted hahaha. Even women can order the regular size and still get full!

There are sauces and seasonings conveniently placed next to the table, so you can make the gukbap even tastier haha.

Regular sundae gukbap, 9,900 won

Plump sundae + meat + broth made fresh daily with care — that's the highlight hahahaha. Sundae gukbap is such a hearty and delicious meal.

There was plenty of meat inside the sundae gukbap too, and the spicy dadaegi (seasoning paste) made it even easier to eat ~ Personally, the combo of delicious meat and sundae was great ~ My sister enjoyed it too, which made me really happy hahaha.
