Two pizzas for pizza-and-beer night near Jongno: Didi's Pizza Pub

In short

Didi's Pizza Pub Jongno Main Branch is a hand-tossed pizza pub on Sambong-ro near Jongno Station in Seoul. Visiting right at opening, the writer shared a garlic-dipping classic pizza and a spicy chicken pizza with draft beer and cola, alternating between the two for balance. A great pick for a light, beer-friendly meal near Jongno.

Signature shot of pizza and beer at Didi's Pizza Pub near Jongno Station

This is a Jongno Station pizza spot that's also perfect as a light drinking snack, so I wanted to recommend it! There are tons of good restaurants around Jongno Station since so many office workers hang out there, and that day I was suddenly craving pizza, so I went to Didi's Pizza. The value here is insane and it's genuinely delicious.

A pub vibe with a terrace

The weather's warming up so the terrace-style outdoor seats looked really nice. Good for couples on dates, and there were even people having engagement-invitation get-togethers. We went inside and grabbed a table first — the interior is clean too!

Empty tables at Didi's Pizza Pub right after opening

It's a classic pub style — since we went right when they opened, I managed to get a shot of the empty seating layout haha. It filled up with customers fast. Definitely a hidden Jongno Station pizza spot — so many pizza varieties, and genuinely delicious lol.

The menu

Since it's a pizza pub, pizza is naturally the main event, but there's a good range of side dishes too, so there's plenty to snack on with drinks. Basics like tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and wing-bong (chicken wings and drumettes) are on there too, which I think women would especially like.

This is the full menu I photographed on the terrace, just for reference. From classic pizzas to pastas to sides — plenty of options, making it a great Jongno Station spot for pizza with a beer.

The basic setting and draft beer

Pickles and Jjanggu snacks served as the basic setting

Pickles and Jjanggu snacks came out as the basic setting lol. I wasn't super hungry, but by the time I'd finished the snacks and was debating a refill, the pizza arrived, so I didn't bother asking for more.

Cola ordered alongside the draft beer

It's a pizza pub, so you can't skip the beer! They have draft beer, so I ordered it nice and cold haha. Finishing it before the pizza even arrives is basically the unwritten rule lol. The pizza also goes great with cola, so we ended up ordering both beer and cola.

Hand-dough Didi's Pizza: size and flavor

The elongated shape of the hand-dough Didi's Pizza

This is the hand-dough Didi's Pizza. It's the most basic item on Didi's Pizza's menu, but there's a lot of cheese, the hand-made dough is chewy, and the elongated shape felt completely new to me.

Comparing the size of Didi's Pizza on the table

Reviews I'd seen said it was tortilla-sized or something, so we ordered two pizzas...? But it's big. Huh. Still, if you can eat a lot of pizza, one pizza per person is totally doable size-wise!

Cross-section of pizza showing bacon and cheese

This is the classic pizza with a generous amount of garlic dipping sauce on top — the bacon inside is nice and salty, and the cheese is piled on, so even writing this now I'm craving it again.

A slice of garlic sauce pizza eaten by hand

The garlic sauce is drizzled on so generously that you don't need to dip it separately — you can just pick it up and eat it comfortably. Not greasy at all, and the first bite was truly moving lol.

The chewy edge of the hand-made dough
A large slice of pizza cut generously

There's an edge part you can eat with the dough, and then a part that's basically just pizza — big, chewy, and so delicious. But now, something even better shows up.

Hand-dough Didi's Fire Chicken Pizza and the two-pizza combo

Hand-dough Didi's Fire Chicken Pizza. Insanely spicy and totally addictive. It's got soft chicken and spicy sauce on top, and since it's such a contrast to the Didi's Pizza we'd just had, it tasted even more delicious by comparison.

Two pizzas — fire chicken and classic — together on the table

Once it gets spicy you end up going back to the regular Didi's Pizza, so I really recommend ordering both like this lol. My boyfriend combined bites of both and said the balance was perfect lol. I tried it too, and it was so good haha.

That cheese pull, right? It tastes way better fresh out of the oven. But even after it cools down, the cheese stays soft and nutty and delicious. This place is straight-up a cheese specialist! Not the kind of thing anyone could dislike — just objectively good.

Load the fire chicken pizza with parmesan

Partway through I asked for parmesan cheese and hot sauce, and I personally recommend piling parmesan on the fire chicken pizza. The flavor gets completely next-level.

Wrap-up

Looking for a good restaurant near Jongno Station? How about Didi's Pizza? It has a different kind of charm from your average neighborhood pizza place, it's great for pairing with a beer, and the interior is spacious enough for group get-togethers or dates. Highly recommend Didi's Pizza as a Jongno Station spot.
