Sokcho Korean restaurant with private rooms: Jin Seiromushi
In short
Jin Seiromushi is a Korean set-meal restaurant in Sokcho, Gangwon, serving red snow crab and marinated shrimp with pot-cooked rice and 17 side dishes. Our family of four, including a 7-year-old, had more than enough food in a private room. Jin Seiromushi is a wonderful choice for a generous family meal.

A Sokcho Korean set meal with my parents and child
We came to Sokcho for a one-night, two-day trip with my parents and child today : ) It has been a while since we traveled with my parents, and today we had red snow crab and marinated shrimp pot-rice set meals at Jin Seiromushi (진 세이로무시), a great Sokcho Korean set-meal restaurant to take your parents to : )

The set meal comes with 17 side dishes, including red snow crab gejang (soy-marinated crab), and delicious pot-cooked rice, making it a wonderful place to visit with family~ It was such a delicious Korean set-meal restaurant that I really, really want to recommend it! It is close to Jangsa Port, Sokcho Beach, and Cheongcho Lake, so it is a great place to stop for a meal after sightseeing. I thought it was truly one of Sokcho's best places for a meal^^
Jin Seiromushi is a great Sokcho red snow crab restaurant with convenient parking right in front!

Red snow crab and shrimp pot-rice set meals in a private room
A huge restaurant inside, just as large as the building itself! It was spacious enough even for a large family~ There were private rooms too, so I booked ahead and we were able to sit in one.

We ordered one serving of the red snow crab set meal, one serving of the marinated shrimp set meal, and one serving of the stone-pot rice set meal~ It was truly more than enough for our family of four, including our 7-year-old.

I knew this was a place known for serving Korean set meals with lots of side dishes, but I never expected it to be this~~ delicious. What an amazing Sokcho seafood restaurant!

Even the side dishes that looked so ordinary were incredibly delicious, and both my parents and I kept marveling as we ate. There were several side dishes our child could eat too, which was so convenient, and we were more than satisfied~

Nutty pot-cooked rice and red snow crab with no fishiness
Even when food has been good, I have never complimented the rice itself, but I do not know what rice they use for the pot-cooked rice—it was so nutty, sweet, and delicious~! A Korean set meal where even the rice was amazingㅠ_ㅠ I have already been there, but I want to go back again!
And then there was the red snow crab gejang I ordered! It was my first time trying it, and I totally fell for it!!!!

Wow... there was no fishy smell, and the seasoning was not overly salty, yet it had this savory, nutty flavor!!!! It was slightly sweet and such a perfect rice thief. The marinated shrimp had roe hanging in clusters~~ and it was so nutty, you know? It was my first time seeing marinated shrimp with roe, and I absolutely loved its deeply savory flavor.

My parents said they do not even get to eat such a feast on their birthdays, and that they had such a delicious, lavish meal today~ I heard about 100 compliments that I had picked a great restaurant!! It was such a joyful meal, and this has become a restaurant where I would definitely like to treat friends when we come to Sokcho.

Next time, I want to try the cypress-steamed dishes
Jin Seiromushi was so good that no amount of praise would feel like enough. Besides the seafood pot-rice set meal I had, their pyeonbaek-jjim (cypress-steamed dishes) are said to be a signature menu too! You can order many different combinations, including a meat platter, seafood platter, scallop platter, and a meat-and-vegetable platter!

They also have pyeonbaek-jjim combinations that simply cannot be anything but delicious, such as Korean beef brisket, octopus, and three ingredients together, or Korean beef brisket, abalone, and three ingredients together. If I visit someday, I definitely want to try the pyeonbaek-jjim too~!
