Sokcho Korean restaurant red snow crab set takeout: Jin Seiromushi
In short
Jin Seiromushi is a Korean restaurant between Sokcho Beach and Cheongcho Lake in Sokcho, Gangwon. On a family trip, I picked up red snow crab and soy-marinated shrimp set meals to eat at our accommodation; both were filling and not overly salty to my taste.

Over the Liberation Day holiday, I took a two-night, three-day trip to Goseong and Sokcho with my family. For dinner on our first day, we picked up a red snow crab soy-marinated set meal and a soy-marinated shrimp set meal from Jin Seiromushi (진 세이로무시) and ate them at our accommodation.

Where is it, and how did I order takeout?
Jin Seiromushi is at 13 Seonsa-ro 2-gil, between Sokcho Beach and Cheongcho Lake. It was also not far from Sokcho Express Bus Terminal, and the spacious parking lot in front made it easy to stop by by car.
I stopped by while heading back to our accommodation after finishing the day's plans. I called 30 minutes before arriving to order two takeout set meals, and they had them carefully prepared for the agreed pickup time. I also liked the brief look I got at the restaurant's atmosphere, but we decided to eat at our accommodation that day.

What were the prices and contents of the takeout sets?
When I visited, the soy-marinated shrimp set meal was ₩25,000 and the red snow crab soy-marinated set meal was ₩23,000. Once we arrived at our accommodation and laid everything out on the table, the packaging looked neat.

Each set came with either soy-marinated shrimp or soy-marinated red snow crab as the main dish, plus nine basic side dishes, grilled fish, rice, and soup. Counting the grilled fish, there were 10 side dishes, so I felt the set was substantial for the price.

The soy-marinated shrimp contained eight neatly arranged red shrimp. The red snow crab dish was described as being made with live Sokcho red snow crab, and it included one whole crab.

The side dishes were neatly prepared and savory, and went well with the rice and soup. I heard that dining in comes with more than 15 side dishes, but I had the takeout set meal. Even the takeout spread felt generous.

Were the soy-marinated shrimp and red snow crab too salty?
I usually enjoy soy-marinated shrimp, so I peeled one and placed it over rice. The shrimp was tender and had a sweetness to it. To my taste, it was not too salty even without rice. The myeongnanjeot (salted pollock roe) we had alongside it also did not taste overly salty.

It was my first time trying soy-marinated red snow crab on this Sokcho trip. I did not notice any fishy smell or taste while eating it, and the crab meat was springy and sweet. The shell did not feel hard, either.
My family picked out the crab meat, while I mixed rice into the crab shell. Even after mixing in plenty of sauce, it was not too salty to my taste, so it went well with the rice.

How was it for dinner at our accommodation?
Along with the red snow crab and soy-marinated shrimp, the set included side dishes, rice, and soup, making it easy to lay out a full meal on the table at our accommodation. We could eat leisurely after finishing our first day of family travel, and I was satisfied with both the side-dish selection and the taste of the two dishes.
