Today I'm introducing 2002 Witch's Arpeggio, a tomato-sauce pork belly restaurant near Myojeoksa Valley in Namyangju!

Dog-friendly outdoor tables beside Myojeoksa Valley
2002 Witch's Arpeggio sits right by Myojeoksa Valley, so it's a great spot to eat leisurely with a cool breeze coming through.

It's a nice stop on a Namyangju drive, and since dogs are allowed, you can bring your pup along!

The outdoor tables by the creek are lovely, but there's also plenty of seating inside!
Inside, the place is full of the tomato-sauce pork belly the 'witch' has been developing for 25 years!
Since the heat had eased up a bit, we took an outdoor table. Eating with the cool breeze and the sound of the stream felt really healing.

Order by tablet, plus a separate kids' menu
Ordering is convenient with the tablet set up at each table! The tomato pork belly has a cheese add-on option and a choice of spice level, so you can pick to taste! There's also a separate kids' menu, so a lot of the customers were families with children!

To enjoy the tomato pork belly properly, I even read through the suggested eating order slowly.

Basic table setting and self-bar
The tomato pork belly came out right along with the basic side dishes!

It came with side dishes that pair well with tomato pork belly and fresh lettuce wraps. If you run out of banchan, you can grab more from the self-bar, and japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) or rice crackers can be requested from staff!

Cheese tomato pork belly for three
We ordered the cheese tomato pork belly for three.

Ahh... the tomato pork belly had such a gorgeous color!! 🍅❤️

At this dog-friendly Namyangju tomato pork belly spot, the staff grilled the meat for us, which was so convenient!
Even though every table was full and they were clearly busy, they grilled it deliciously!
Once the meat was cooked enough, they piled on the cheese generously!

Before covering everything in cheese, they thoughtfully set aside a piece for us to taste the plain tomato sauce first! It had a spicy, savory flavor I kept thinking about!! 😆

With the torch fire show melting the cheese, that extra nuttiness came in, and there's no way it wasn't delicious.

Could the kid eat it too?
It's tasty plain, but with the nutty cheese added, the spiciness mellows out a bit, so even my little one could enjoy it!

Following the suggested eating order, I tried various combinations, and honestly every single way was so good it was hard to pick a favorite!

Side dish: potato pancake
Arpeggio's side dishes are popular too!!

Arpeggio's potato pancake, crispy outside and chewy inside, looked impressive from the first glance.

The crispiness was on a different level from any potato pancake I've had before — so good!!

Finishing with pollock roe fried rice in a stone pot
If you're Korean, the meal has to end with fried rice! To finish, we ordered the pollock roe (myeongnan) fried rice made with scorched rice in a stone pot.

For this dish, once the 5-minute hourglass runs out, you open the lid, stir it well, and dig in!
I was surprised how many ingredients went into the fried rice with such care — seaweed flakes, pollock roe, sesame seeds, pickled radish, and more.

The fluffy rice grains combined with the owner's secret sauce and all those ingredients were genuinely delicious. Even the crispy scorched rice at the bottom was perfect!
Worth a return visit?
I visited as the cool breezes were starting, but I'd love to come back each season to feel the different atmosphere! With dog-friendly seating, ample parking, the special tomato pork belly, and a range of side dishes to enjoy together, I recommend this Namyangju tomato pork belly spot — go check it out!
