Namyangju fall outdoor BBQ at Shin Ramyun spice level: 2002 Witch's

In short

2002 Witch's Arpeggio is a Korean BBQ restaurant with creekside outdoor seating in Wabu-eup, Namyangju, Gyeonggi. On a cooler fall weekend the writer returned with her grandmother for cheese tomato-sauce pork belly set to Shin Ramyun spice level, and picked up a free pollack roe stone-pot fried rice through a Naver receipt review. Waiting by the creek makes the weekend line bearable, and Jin Ramyun spice level is the safer pick if you can't handle heat.

Last weekend, now that the weather's cooled down, I went out to enjoy fall outdoor BBQ at 2002 Witch's Arpeggio (2002 마녀의 아르페지오) in Namyangju 🍂 There's a creek running right next to it, so you can dip your feet in before or after eating, and even if there's a weekend wait, you can hang out by the creek while you wait! The weather was just perfect the day we went, so eating outdoors was amazing.

Fall creekside outdoor BBQ seating view

Isn't this fall creekside outdoor seating vibe insane..✨ I genuinely love this atmosphere so much ㅠ

The parking lot was pretty large too, which was great. Since it's on the outskirts of Namyangju, I'd guess a lot of people drive, but there was plenty of parking space so no stress there 🚗

How does the weekend waiting work?

If you're planning a weekend visit, note this! Entry starts at 11am, and you'll get a KakaoTalk notification in the order you registered on Catch Table 📱 If there's a wait, you can hang out by the creek or in the waiting area, so I'd recommend registering ahead of time!

Wow, whether it's Google or Naver reviews, the number of reviews is huge,, you can already tell how good this place must be just from that, right?

Here's what the outdoor and indoor seating look like. The indoor space has all its doors opened up so it feels just like the outdoor seating too. Families with kids can eat safely indoors!!

How to eat tomato-sauce pork belly, step by step

They've sold 2,899,430 servings of tomato-sauce pork belly so far lol lol. My family alone probably accounts for like 10 of those.

I'd recommend trying the tomato-sauce pork belly in the suggested order 🍅 First, try it plain, then next enjoy it with cheese 🧀 After that wrap it in perilla leaf, then try it with gim (seaweed) — each way has its own charm. And finally, of course, fried rice! Finishing with the pollack roe fried rice made for a really satisfying, filling meal ✨

We also took part in the Naver receipt review event 📱 Write a review and they give you a free pollack roe stone-pot fried rice — the salty savoriness of the pollack roe paired really well with the crispy texture of the scorched rice, a satisfying way to end the meal 🔥

3 spice levels and half-and-half cheese orders

Spice can be adjusted across 3 levels. And you can order one regular and one cheese to split it half and half. You definitely don't have to go all-cheese!!

This is the self-serve bar zone. We grabbed a bunch of stuff from here haha

Ta-da~ here's the full spread of tomato-sauce pork belly~ Looks super generous, right? I'll show you each part in detail below!

We went with Shin Ramyun spice level, and whew, it was a bit spicy. If you're not great with Buldak-level heat, go with Jin Ramyun spice level! I think next time I visit I'll go with Jin Ramyun spice level too!!

The unreal free side dish — japchae — and tableside grilling service

And the basic side dish here is unbelievable — they bring you piping hot, freshly made japchae (stir-fried glass noodles). We visited with my grandmother this time, and you know how grandmothers love japchae, right? Yeah... my grandmother ate three bowls... And even so, they kept bringing more with a smile, which I really appreciated ㅠ

They grill and cut all the meat for you!! Even with a ton of customers, the staff came to each table right on the beat of the meat finishing cooking — such pros!!! They even torch it a bit, and you know that smoky char flavor is never a bad thing, right?

Look at how much cheese they pile on. This is for just one serving, I promise,,💛 They pour on a ton of cheese. No need to order cheese for every single serving!!

So how does the cheese tomato-sauce pork belly taste?

Isn't the visual insane. It's a dish that adds the chewy, savory taste of cheese to the umami of the tomato sauce, and true to its name, it's noticeably different from a regular gochujang pork belly. In particular, the tomato's distinct tangy, umami flavor cuts through the pork belly's richness really well. Add cheese on top and you get that extra savory, chewy note — definitely a different take on pork belly! If it's your first visit like it was ours, I'd recommend trying this over the plain pork belly.

Fall outdoor BBQ atmosphere

Meat grilled outdoors just hits different from the moment it starts cooking 🔥 Add the smell of the meat cooking to the sound of the creek flowing, and it somehow tastes even better than usual. Now that the weather's cooling down, I feel like fall outdoor BBQ season has officially begun. In midsummer it can be too hot to enjoy eating outside comfortably, but on a cool day like the one I visited, the outdoor tables are honestly so much better.

Free pollack roe scorched-rice fried rice with a Naver receipt review

If you visit Arpeggio, make sure to grab this! Write a Naver receipt review and get 🍳 pollack roe-packed nurungji (scorched rice) stone-pot fried rice, normally ₩5,000, for free. It's loaded with pollack roe and crispy scorched rice — the perfect way to finish off after meat. Just write a review and you can eat a ₩5,000 menu item for free, so don't miss it!

After all that meat, you can't skip fried rice 🍚 The pollack roe-packed nurungji stone-pot fried rice is normally ₩5,000 but we got it free through the Naver receipt review event. The salty flavor of the pollack roe combined with the crisped-up parts stuck to the stone pot gave it great texture, and it was a perfect way to wrap up after the meat. The crispy scorched bits especially were a real treat! If you feel like meat alone isn't quite enough, definitely try the fried rice too.

To sum up

The biggest strength of Arpeggio in Namyangju was being able to enjoy creek + outdoor BBQ + pork belly all at once. It's especially great to visit now as the weather cools down for fall, since eating outdoors is so pleasant. There can be a weekend wait, but being able to go down to the creek and dip your feet in while waiting is a quiet perk too. And since it's tomato-sauce pork belly rather than the usual gochujang pork belly, I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to try something different. On top of that, writing a Naver receipt review to grab the free pollack roe nurungji stone-pot fried rice makes the meal even more worth it. If you want creekside outdoor BBQ on a cool fall day, I recommend Arpeggio in Namyangju 🍂
