Most of the restaurants around Resom in Jecheon are old-school places, so I worried a twin stroller wouldn't fit. But Deojinji's interior was so spacious and comfortable that bringing a baby along was no problem at all.

There was a baby chair, a microwave, bibs, and even an infant spoon set — clearly a place set up for families with babies.

We ordered two of the pork galbi set and two of the spicy pork galbi set. Deojinji's set menu at this Jecheon restaurant comes with soy sauce crab, seasoned crab, cheonggukjang, and rice, and you can swap the rice for naengmyeon (cold noodles) for an extra ₩4,000.

The basic side dishes were generous, but seasoned crab and soy sauce crab as sides?... And they were actually delicious.
The cheonggukjang included in the set also had a rich, deep flavor, so I enjoyed it a lot, and the rice was sticky with plenty to go with it — I finished a bowl in no time.

Since it comes already grilled, there's no smoke and you can dig in right away — so convenient. Grilling meat with a baby around isn't easy, so it was great to enjoy proper charcoal flavor for once.
The spicy pork galbi came out on a separate plate. If the Damyang-style pork galbi is sweet and tender, the spicy version has a kick that draws you in more. It's more mildly spicy than truly hot, so I think most people would like it, and eating it alongside the regular galbi kept things from getting monotonous — a great combo.
I was curious about the naengmyeon too, so I swapped one bowl of rice for it (extra ₩4,000). This was also just... delicious.
Receipt event: old-school snacks and a baby drink
Instead of the usual soda for the receipt event, they hand out old-school snacks or baby drinks. That alone tells you who this restaurant is really for.
The verdict after dining with grandparents and 6-month-old twins
Traveling with grandparents and 6-month-old twins, I worried whether eating out would even be possible, or whether we'd have a bad experience — but instead my mom raved about it and said we should hold our next family gathering here haha. The main dish was great, of course, but the side dishes, the doenjang stew, even the rice — everything was delicious, so the last meal of this trip ended in total success. If you're looking for a good restaurant near Resom Forest in Jecheon, I highly recommend this place as a local...!!!
