Daejeon lash salon, idol mascara extensions after Bali: Banana Brow

Hi everyone! I'm so happy with this that I'm just going to drop the gif right away!!!!

(My eyes are naturally full of blood vessels... I've worn hard lenses every day for over 10 years haha. The redness is NOT from the lash extensions!! You'll see plenty of blood vessels in the before photo below too...)

My eyes are monolids, but with a double crease! (I've never once gotten double eyelid tape or glue in my life, wrinkles just showed up as I got older...) So I absolutely need an eyelash curler, which means I get lash perms often!

But this time I went to Bali, and since it was basically my first overseas trip in half a year, I wanted to go all dressed up like a peacock?! So I tried a lash perm + extension combo for the first time, and I loved it so much I had to bring you a review!

Where is Banana Brow, and what about parking and hours?

The shop where I got my lash perm + extensions this time is Banana Brow, in Goejeong-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon. It's on the 1st floor at 73 Goejeong-ro 98beon-gil, and there's one parking spot under the sign.

With one-person shops like this, a lot of places don't have a separate waiting area for companions and only let the person with the appointment come in — but Banana Brow actually has a waiting space, so friends or companions have somewhere to sit! (So.Nice.)

I arrived a bit early and waited super comfortably on this sofa!!!

And sitting in the waiting area, I noticed there's a powder room right there! Usually after lying down for a treatment like this, your hair gets messed up and your makeup smudges, so this thoughtful little touch is really cute and nice.

Here's what the treatment room looks like! Since it's Banana Brow, there are a lot of yellow accents haha, so cute. And so many awards on display!!!! I'm the type who cares about that stuff a lot haha. The membership options and prices are also kindly explained on a board!

Idol mascara extensions on monolid eyes with a double crease: before and after

What I got at Banana Brow was a lash perm plus idol mascara extensions. The curl type and mm length were both recommended by the director after looking at my eyes.

The eyes below are how I normally do my eye makeup! I like lashes that flare up dramatically, and I like clumping them with mascara so my eyes look clear and vivid in photos!

Before the treatment, you get a consultation with the director first, and once I explained what I wanted, she looked at my eyes and recommended a curl type and mm length — honestly since it was my first time getting extensions, I didn't know much, so I just told her to go with whatever she recommended haha!

Out of the options, what I got was the idol mascara extensions! And once the treatment started — I fell asleep! A genuinely deep sleep haha. Lash perms are done right on your eyes so I usually can't sleep during them, but the director must have magic hands because she knocked me right out! I woke up fully rested and turned into an idol.

Let me show you the before & after right away! Both photos are unedited except for a slight touch-up on the blood vessels. You can still see the vessels in the before photo, right? ㅠㅠ I'm just naturally full of them... and the after photo was taken half-asleep, just woken up... but the lashes look pretty, right?!

Below is the real before, with no touch-up on the blood vessels haha. That day I especially hadn't slept properly, packing until dawn, then working all day before heading straight to the lash appointment, so it's worse than usual ㅠㅠ

From a Korean valley to Bali: how did the lashes look after 2 weeks?

The lash perm + extensions from Banana Brow still had the curl intact two weeks after the treatment. That's even after I went to a valley the very next day, then flew to Bali the day after that, spending over a week in the sea and pools every single day.

And here are the aftercare instructions they gave me once the treatment was done!

But since I'm the type who really can't be bothered, the only rule I actually followed was not using oil cleanser! Hahat. Rule 3 in particular I totally broke! Because the day after my lash perm I went absolutely wild playing at a valley with my family, and the day after that I flew straight to Bali and spent over a week in the sea and pool every single day... basically I was a fish.

Below is a photo from about 2 weeks after the treatment! I really did zero aftercare, and you'd never guess these are the eyes that were playing in the water nonstop, right?! The staying power is amazing haha. Especially since, as you can probably tell from the photos, I usually go around basically bare-faced with lashes not clumped together, and only clump them with lash serum on makeup days! It's genuinely so good... I highly recommend idol mascara extensions for people like me!!

Why a lash perm plus extensions is worth it before a trip

I really, really recommend lash extensions + perm because in Bali it cut my makeup time and cleansing time in half, and I didn't even need to pack lip and eye remover, which was sooooooooooo good x100000000, plus there's the magic of your photos looking great at the beach and pool even while bare-faced! Seriously so recommended!!

Easy parking, and they even let you sleep — Banana Brow is truly a lash perm and extension gem! I've proven the staying power myself haha.
