A seafood restaurant in Seongsan for an early meal
Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon Seongsan Ilchulbong Branch (제주로운청해원 성산일출봉점) is just 3 minutes from Aqua Planet Jeju and 7 minutes from Seongsan Ilchulbong, so it is a great restaurant to visit while sightseeing or staying around Seongsan.

Its main dishes are braised hairtail, seafood stew, and soy-marinated crab, so it is a Seongsan favorite for delicious, fresh seafood.

Many restaurants near Jeju attractions have a break time, but Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon does not, and it serves early meals too, which makes it easy to visit.

Seongsan Ilchulbong especially gets lots of visitors at dawn and in the morning, so Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon is a place you can visit early in the day.

There are grilled fish and side dishes that children can enjoy, so there is something to satisfy both adults and kids. Dream really enjoyed it too.

Seafood stew and grilled tilefish with the A set
The A set we ordered is one of the most popular sets, with pot rice, braised hairtail, grilled tilefish, and either seaweed soup or seafood stew.

I think seafood stew is one of the must-eat foods in Jeju, and I had a delicious one at Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon. It is spicy for children, but for adults it was wonderfully refreshing and nicely spicy.

It was full of seafood such as shrimp and mussels, plus vegetables, so it tasted very clean and refreshing.

The dish we enjoyed most from the set was the grilled tilefish.

Rather than simply grilling the fish, they coat it in batter and cook it almost like fried fish, making it savory and tender at the same time.

Dream ate it so happily, and K enjoyed it too—Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon is a great restaurant in Seongsan, Jeju.

Soy-marinated crab side dish and braised hairtail
Then there was the marinated crab served as a basic side dish. I usually prefer spicy marinated crab to soy-marinated crab, but Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon's soy-marinated crab was truly delicious.

Perhaps that is why this Seongsan restaurant is also known for soy-marinated crab that can be ordered for delivery.

Finally, the braised hairtail had a wonderfully thick sauce and plenty of braised radish, making it another dish we enjoyed. The hairtail was plump, the seasoning was savory, and it went so well with the pot rice—we had a delicious early brunch.

The portions are really generous too.

For a final palate cleanser, we had warm, nutty nurungji (scorched rice). From the side dishes and mains to the rice and nurungji, everything at Jejurowoon Cheonghaewon was perfect.

After taking part in the receipt review, we received a bag of tangerine jelly that Dream enjoyed, so dessert was taken care of too.
