Hello! I found a really great café while traveling around Yeongjongdo — 5PM sunset hour. It's not just about coffee; the salt bread is delicious too, so you can enjoy dessert alongside your coffee. It's the perfect place to visit when you're craving coffee and Yeongjongdo salt bread. 😝 It was clearly a popular neighborhood café, with lots of people picking up salt bread to go and lots of takeout coffee orders too.

Where is 5PM sunset hour, and where do you park?

5PM sunset hour is on the ground floor of an apartment shopping complex, which gives it that comfortable, neighborhood-regular kind of feel. Parking is easy — just use the complex's parking lot! There are outdoor seats too, so it seems like a nice place to enjoy dessert with a light breeze on a nice day 👍🏻

The front of the shop is decorated in an orange tone, which naturally brings to mind the word 'sunset' in the café's name ❤ That warm color scheme is so good~ Out front, there's also a sign showing what times the bread comes out. Seeing something like that makes you want to time your visit around the fresh batch — I can't be the only one, right, haha. Next time I'll come back for freshly baked bread 😘

Inside 5PM sunset hour: seating and the restroom

Stepping inside, it's a cute little Yeongjongdo café spot! There was a decent amount of seating, good for resting with a cup of coffee. It's super clean but also cozy and cute, so major props to the owner's taste 🧡

There's a friendly explanation of how to use the restroom, and you just grab that pink bag to take with you, haha. Wet wipes, tissue and everything else are all prepared inside the bag! Water, syrup, paper cups and tissues are also thoughtfully stocked at the self-service bar 😝 Feel free to use whatever you need~~

What we ordered: café latte, hazelnut latte and ice cream salt bread

There's a wide variety of baked goods, and it looked like everything is baked fresh in-house. Great value too 🌼 For coffee we picked the café latte and hazelnut latte, and for dessert, the ice cream salt bread! Couldn't wait~~ haha

The café latte was smooth and nutty. You taste the milk's mellowness first, followed by a slight bitterness from the coffee trailing behind, which pairs nicely with the salt bread. The hazelnut latte was sweet and fragrant. That distinctive nutty hazelnut aroma comes through, so it seems well suited to people who like their coffee on the sweeter side.

Salt bread packed with Sanghamokjang ice cream

The salt bread was warm~~~~ and so, so good~~~ It's crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the center of the bread has been hollowed out and packed generously full of ice cream. With one bite you get the warm bread and cold ice cream at the same time, and that combination is fantastic~~~

The ice cream has that nutty milk flavor — so good 💖 And it's Sanghamokjang ice cream, no less!!! Feels so premium~~~ Paired with the salty edge of the salt bread, the combination is out of this world!! If you like special desserts, this is a Yeongjongdo café worth stopping by when you're on the hunt for Yeongjongdo's best dessert spots.

One more thing worth knowing! 5PM sunset hour opens from 7am, so you can visit early. It's great for stopping by on your way to work in the morning, or at the start of a trip around Yeongjongdo, to grab a coffee and pick up bread and coffee to go. This is a place I'll remember for when I want to find great Yeongjongdo salt bread and try something a little different at the same time.
