A Suwon café entrance that looks like a hotel lobby
I visited Café Diaz Cake Boutique, famous for its cakes. The exterior itself was clean yet flashy..! With a gold sign and warm lighting, it felt less like a café and more like a fancy hotel entrance. I came for cake but felt like I should be checking in,,,
The upscale hotel feeling from outside continued inside! Right when you walk in, a clean hallway and a showcase full of delicious-looking cakes.
What's in the cake showcase? Seasonal figs are the star
There was a wide variety from blueberry cake to choco cream cake, but the one that caught my eye most was the fig cake..! Fresh figs, in season in autumn, were piled generously both on top and on the sides, looking completely irresistible. I just can't pass up a cake with seasonal fruit,,
If you love figs, it'd be hard to just walk past this showcase,,haha It really feels like a proper autumn seasonal dessert..!
There's also a colorful fruit fresh cream cake topped with various fruits. Grapes, figs, kiwi and more — the colors are so pretty too.

Diaz Cake Boutique had plenty of teas that pair well with cake. From basic coffee menu items like americano and vanilla latte, to ades and parfaits, plus peach oolong tea, Earl Grey flower tea, Kusmi Tea vanilla rooibos and more... so many teas I wanted to try!

The upscale hotel-like interior atmosphere was so pretty too. With a white plus wood-tone interior, classic chairs and lighting,, the whole space felt elegant. Not a café,, more like enjoying afternoon tea at a hotel lounge..!
Pretty teacups and teapots displayed to one side. With small props added in, it creates an elegant tea room mood,, small detail, but it was fun to look around the space even before eating cake!
The white-toned window seats are so pretty too, right? One wall is a full glass window, so sunlight comes in softly and a breeze gently drifts in through the curtains — the vibe was really nice.
There's also a mirror photo zone with classic lighting and the Diaz logo drawn on it, and the table seating feels like something you'd find in a hotel lounge,,

I ordered an iced americano, peach oolong tea, and fig fresh cream cake. The fig cake, which had looked especially gorgeous in the showcase..! Looked so delicious.
Peach oolong tea, poured after the 3-minute hourglass
When you order tea, they bring an hourglass along with it. You wait about 3 minutes for the peach oolong tea to steep nicely, and once all the sand has fallen, that's when you drink it!
The teacups are really so pretty, right...??? From the colors to the flower pattern, every single one is pretty ㅠㅠㅠ While the tea steeps, I looked at the teacups, took photos, and just looking at them made me happy. Pouring tea into such a pretty cup makes me feel like I should act elegantly for some reason,,
The warm peach oolong tea has a subtle peach scent rising with a pleasant sweetness. If you don't usually drink tea often or don't know which one to pick, try the peach oolong tea..!
How does the fig fresh cream cake taste?
A cake piled high with figs. Figs are tucked between the soft cream and the layers of sponge too.
The figs were incredibly soft, and the soft cream paired really well with the moist sponge. I usually can't eat much of a rich, heavy cake, but I could finish a whole slice of the Diaz cake with no problem,, completely delicious!!!
Cake plus americano combo?!? What more can I say,, that's the ultimate combo, right? Fresh cream cake and americano are always a perfect match.
The teapot set is pretty from every angle. I need to copy this,,,

Delicious cake and tea in a beautiful space..! With the upscale hotel atmosphere and every single teapot and teacup so pretty,, I feel like I really got to enjoy a proper tea time!!
I recommend Diaz Cake Boutique for a day you want delicious cake in a great atmosphere..! Next time I'll have the happy problem of deciding which cake to try,,haha
