I had a lunch date with a friend near Gangnam Station recently, so we went to Brivit!

Gangnam Station is always so crowded, and there are so many restaurants around that I usually can't decide where to go. But I'd heard the vibe and food here were both good, so I decided to check it out. Once I got there, I understood why it's so often recommended as a Gangnam Station blind-date spot or wedding-invitation gathering place.

What is the atmosphere like at Brivit Gangnam Station?

Brivit sits right in the middle of Gangnam Station, yet it's full of European restaurant charm. The lighting is soft and the interior feels very sentimental — honestly perfect for a date.

The moment we walked into Brivit, the atmosphere was really lovely.

This place has that full European-restaurant feel, so it's upscale and cozy at the same time. Right in the middle of Gangnam Station, it genuinely felt like I'd been transported to a restaurant in Europe.

Actually, a friend of mine had a blind date here and it turned into a good relationship. Apparently this place is quietly famous as a blind-date holy site around Gangnam Station.

The tables had enough space between them to talk comfortably, and it wasn't loud at all — so it seemed like a great option for anyone looking for a blind-date spot near Gangnam Station. They also said people often come here for wedding-invitation gatherings and get-togethers with friends.

When ordering, they explained the menu carefully and the service was so friendly that I felt good throughout the whole meal.

And if you take part in the review event, they give you an ade — and it was surprisingly delicious.

Cool and refreshing, it went perfectly with the pasta.

Crispy outside, tender inside: Brivit's fried eggplant

One of the dishes I enjoyed most at Brivit was the eggplant fritters.

I'm not usually a huge fan of eggplant, but Brivit's eggplant fritters were genuinely different.

The outside was crispy and the inside stayed tender, and dipping it in the accompanying sauce made the flavor even richer.

It barely felt greasy, and the crispiness lasted a long time, so my chopsticks kept going back for more. I get why so many people say you have to order the eggplant fritters when you come to Brivit.

The must-order green onion cream corn gnocchi

The green onion cream corn gnocchi I had at Brivit was also really impressive.

The gnocchi had a wonderfully chewy texture, topped generously with green onion cream sauce and corn — the cream flavor was so rich and nutty that I kept eating.

I personally love gnocchi, and even so this was really satisfying. The sauce wasn't too heavy or greasy — it was pleasantly smooth, so I could enjoy it right to the end.

I actually dipped the eggplant fritters into this cream sauce too, and it was amazing.

The crispy fritters paired with the smooth cream sauce turned out to be a much better combo than I expected — I'd definitely recommend trying it.

Vongole pasta packed with clams

The vongole pasta I ordered as a main was also satisfying.

Vongole can often turn out greasy, but Brivit's version has a subtle spiciness that kept it interesting all the way through without getting tiresome.

I was especially surprised by how generously loaded it was with clams.

The noodles were cooked just right, and the sauce had soaked in well, so every bite had that deep savory flavor.

If you're looking for good pasta near Gangnam Station, this is a dish I'd personally recommend.

The pudding, an unexpected favorite

The pudding we ordered together was also really tasty.

It's pudding baked inside bread — slightly crisp on the outside, moist and tender on the inside, with a sweet, soft flavor that made for the perfect dessert after the meal.

Even though I was already full, I kept eating it anyway.

Self-serve pickles and the reservation-only terrace

It was convenient that Brivit lets you help yourself to pickles.

I liked being able to grab some whenever I wanted, and eating them alongside the pasta helped cleanse the palate nicely.

They also run outdoor terrace seating, which you can reserve in advance for convenience.

Booking ahead makes it easier to use, and the atmosphere out there is great too — it seemed like it would be a really good spot for a date or a wedding-invitation gathering.

Wrapping up the meal at Brivit

Above all, the food quality was great across the gnocchi, eggplant fritters, and vongole pasta, and considering the location right at Gangnam Station, the prices felt reasonably good value.
