Bupyeong Korean restaurant for spicy braised pork ribs: Haemokjeong
In short
Haemokjeong Bupyeong Branch is a Korean restaurant near Baegun Station in Bupyeong, Incheon. I had the medium-spicy braised pork ribs with perilla-leaf wraps and finished with DIY fried rice, while also confirming the spacious dining room and parking support. Haemokjeong Bupyeong Branch near Baegun Station: location and parking
Do you know the Haemokjeong chain? I’d only been to the Bupyeong branch several times, so I had no idea it was a chain—but turns out it is??? I first came after seeing that makgeolli was free on weekdays, you know.. haha hahaha.
The address is technically in Sangok-dong, but it’s waaaay closer to Baegun Station. It’s between Baegun Station Hyundai Apartments and Sinchon Elementary School!
I said I’d been here a few times.... right? But I learned something for the first time on this visit, so I’m sharing it first. Parking!!!!!!!! Until now, I thought only the ground-floor parking spaces right beside the restaurant were available. But apparently, you can park in the building basement....? I seriously had no idea.. hahaha. And! If you park at Baegun Station Public Parking Lot, they support 3 hours! Was I the only one who didn’t know???????

A spacious interior for group dinners and family meals
The interior is wonderfully spacious~ I went around 5:30 p.m. on a weekday, so it was quiet, but there were already people having company dinners lol. That’s how good it is for groups.

Ordering spicy braised pork ribs and DIY fried rice
Spicy braised pork ribs (2 people) are ₩35,000, and DIY fried rice is ₩3,000. Today, I picked the braised pork ribs~~ There are lots of other menu items too! Boneless monkfish stew, abalone seafood hot pot, seafood braised short ribs, gochujang-marinated stir-fried duck, and so on.
I once had the Haemokjeong Special with my family—it comes with seafood braised short ribs and abalone seafood hot pot—but we were so busy eating that I failed to take photos, oops,, lol,,. For lunch specials or meal dishes, there’s also chive stir-fried webfoot octopus and fish roe-and-guts mushroom kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup), so keep that in mind haha.

Once you order, seaweed soup, salad, cheonsachae (translucent jelly noodles), and assorted side dishes arrive.

They said everything except the cheonsachae is available at the self-service bar, so you can help yourself~~

I only went back for extra perilla leaves. Determined to make wraps even with braised ribs lol.

How were the medium-spicy braised pork ribs?
Spicy braised pork ribs, making their entrance-☆

It came ready to eat right away and stayed warm the whole time~~ I was sooo hungry, so I loved being able to dig in immediately! You can choose the spice level too; I ordered medium haha.

First, I put the ribs on my plate. It had been such a long time since I’d had braised ribs, so I was salivating haha.

The ribs weren’t huge, but they weren’t tough, so they were nice to eat one by one~~

There was plenty of rice-cake add-in too. I’m a rice-cake-add-in lover when I eat dakbokkeumtang (spicy braised chicken), and it goes so well with braised-rib sauce too haha.

I don’t know the name of this namul (seasoned vegetable side dish), but it felt like a garnish that brightened up the color? It was nice to eat when things started feeling a little salty.

The mushrooms were nice and plump too. Maybe because there’s mushroom kalguksu on the menu, the mushrooms felt especially substantial!!

There were vegetables like cabbage, onion, and green onion too. The cabbage was especially delicious hehe.

I topped a perilla leaf with cheonsachae, then added braised ribs and chives. You get to eat lots of vegetables, it’s less salty, and it was great—just so you know!!

The DIY fried-rice finale
When fried rice is possible, you know it’s a must~~~~~ Only DIY fried rice is available, but they bring rice, flying-fish roe, sauce, and more in a large bowl, and you stir-fry it yourself haha. Honestly, the fried-rice finale was the tastiest partㅠ How am I supposed to quit carbsㅠ....? (I won’t. I can’t.)
There are lots of menu choices and the restaurant is spacious, so I think it would be a good place for a company dinner near Baegun Station. It’s also great when you’re dining with a big family group, so I recommend it haha.
