Double dongpo pork ramen with chicken rice set: Menya Seoul

There's a Lotte Department Store in Guwol-dong, Incheon 🏬 Department stores are honestly just love~ Shopping, browsing around, and of course eating something delicious too, right??!!!!

I went to a really good ramen restaurant in the basement food court of Lotte Department Store 🍜 Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch

The food court aisle is so wide that it's actually easier to find your way if you ask for Outback — it's right in front once you find that!

Once you arrive at Menya Seoul, this is what the exterior looks like! The lighting and design are pretty, don't you think?

In front of the counter at this Guwol-dong ramen restaurant Menya Seoul in Incheon, things are set up like this 😮 They also have the mazemen (mixed noodles) and new menu items listed. Mazemen plus rice is definitely a great combo, hehe

Order by number from the menu board — I picked mild No. 2

Here's the menu board!! You can order quickly by saying the number, and I thought the numbered system was a nice touch! I needed something for a hangover(?), and was thinking about ordering something spicy or mala, but 🥢 I felt like the mild option would give me a deeper, richer broth, so No. 2 was more tempting!

They had a summer set so I took a photo! Not sure if it's a seasonal menu..? It might end soon, so I'd recommend going to try it quickly! ⭐️

There was kelp vinegar and lauyu (chili oil) on the table. You can add them to your taste, and I planned to drizzle some on as I ate! Curious🎉🎉🎉

What did I order? Double dongpo pork ramen + sweet soy chicken rice bowl

A hearty set arrived. For the side dish I chose the sweet soy chicken rice bowl 🍛, and I picked No. 2 for double the dongpo pork.

It's dongpo pork ramen, but there's jambon (ham) on top too, and it looked so delicious that I was full of expectations before even eating!!!!

Stirring the garlic in slowly makes the broth richer! Wow, the smell wafted up and I couldn't stop salivating ㅋㅋㅋ

At first I put my chopsticks in and couldn't even see the noodles 😮 There was that much dongpo pork!!! (Yay, so much dongpo pork🥩👍)

The sweet soy chicken rice bowl had bonito flakes coming alive on top 🤤

The chicken on top looked so moist. Look at that color..! They know how to fry well here too........🤤

I couldn't resist and took a bite of the chicken first, and my expectations were spot on! ⭐️ This Guwol-dong ramen restaurant Menya Seoul is great at chicken too!

And then I had a sip of the broth from the main dish, the ramen — it's so clean~~~~! I think the broth makes or breaks a ramen!

How much is double dongpo pork, exactly?

Since I chose No. 2 for double dongpo pork, I had to eat it before it got cold — pure moistness~ No smell at all, it just melted in my mouth! 🥩

There was really this much dongpo pork layered underneath as I ate through the noodles ㅋㅋㅋ hehe 🤣 You've got to get double the dongpo pork!!

The advantage of a set menu is that you get to fully enjoy two dishes at once! 😆 The soy chicken rice bowl was mixed thoroughly all the way through — pure moistness!

As I was eating, I got curious about how it would taste with lauyu, so I drizzled a little on and tried it!

It got spicier and the flavor really came alive!❤️ This Guwol-dong ramen restaurant Menya Seoul really knows what it's doing❤️ I also wrapped a slice of jambon in the noodles and ate it ㅎㅎ The jambon was delicious too!!
