While looking for somewhere to have a family meal in Bupyeong, I ended up at Haemokjeong Bupyeong Branch :) It's in Sangok-dong, not far from Baekun Station, so I wanted to share it with anyone searching for good restaurants in Bupyeong's Sangok-dong or near Baekun Station.

This time at Haemokjeong Bupyeong Branch, a favorite in Sangok-dong, Bupyeong, I ordered the monkfish stew + seafood kalguksu set! I like both monkfish stew and kalguksu, so a combo that let me have both at once appealed to me.

First I tried the monkfish stew. The moment it hit the table, the appetizing look grabbed my eyes right away!

Monkfish stew is all about eating the crunchy bean sprouts together with the sauce, right? The seasoning was well balanced overall, and it naturally made me want a bowl of rice.

Picking up monkfish and bean sprouts together gave both a soft texture and a crunchy one at the same time, and I kept reaching for more.

When you're eating stew after stew, sometimes you crave some broth in between, and having kalguksu right there was great.

Monkfish stew → kalguksu → back to monkfish stew, that's the order you naturally fall into haha. Being able to enjoy two different styles of dishes together instead of just one made me glad I ordered the set.

Monkfish stew alone feels a little lacking, and kalguksu alone feels a little empty, but together they make a satisfying full meal!
