I was looking for pork belly in Bupyeong and stumbled on something fun. Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch! The most interesting thing about this place: order 3 servings of pork belly and gamjatang (spicy pork bone soup) comes free! Getting to eat both pork belly and gamjatang — this place was exactly right for us, since we wanted both the meat and the soup.

The interior of Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Station Branch had a comfortable barbecue-restaurant vibe, good for sitting and grilling meat. Tables are spread wide on both sides — if you want an outdoor-dining feel go right, if you want an indoor feel I'd recommend sitting on the left!
Pork belly is usually eaten with a group, and it was nice sitting around the table grilling meat and chatting. The atmosphere suited both a dinner with friends or a casual drink together :)

Where else does a deal like this exist?! Coming for pork belly and getting gamjatang along with it — you can't pass that up 👍 (It's basically my soul food too.)
Just look at that good-colored pork belly, kimchi, and bean sprouts — impossible not to dig in.

That day, the owner grilled it with a torch, and the heat was no joke.... Pork belly really does taste best fresh off the grill while it's hot. Torch from above, stone plate from below — there's no way it couldn't taste good.... Check out that torch power!
After torching it like this and cutting the meat into bite-sized pieces, this is what you get.
We cut it into perfect one-bite pieces and dug in properly. My wife said I was doing my "one bite at a time" series again — but at a place this good, you can't leave anything behind. (hahahaha)
