Pork jowl and marshmallow finish at Euljiro Yeontan Gui, Gajeong BBQ

In short

Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch is a charcoal-grill Korean BBQ restaurant in Luone City near Gajeong Station, Seohae, Incheon. The table ran through two servings of pork jowl and one of skirt meat with gochujang pork belly added, then bibimbap, doenjang stew and ramyeon, and ended with marshmallows toasted on the grill. It suits couples and groups who want to switch between cuts and still finish with a proper rice-and-stew meal.

What we ordered at Euljiro Yeontan Gui near Gajeong Station

This time we ordered two servings of pork jowl and one of skirt meat. On top of that we added gochujang pork belly and worked our way through bibimbap, doenjang stew, ramyeon, and zero-sugar cola. We even finished off with grilled marshmallows, so it turned into pretty much a full course haha.

The parking lot was spacious too, which I appreciated!

If you're looking for a good meat restaurant near Gajeong Station, the menu is varied enough to try a bunch of different things.

Retro interior with stainless steel tables and chimney flues

Inside Euljiro Yeontan Gui: side dishes and the self bar

Walking in, it has that exact old-school BBQ restaurant feel. Rather than the clean, modern grill houses that are trendy right now, it leans more retro. The round stainless steel tables have a grill in the center with a chimney flue overhead, so the whole grilling atmosphere really comes through.

The basic side dishes included wrap vegetables like lettuce and perilla leaves, along with kimchi, bean sprouts, garlic, and radish salad. Lots of sides that worked well thrown on the grill alongside the meat.

If anything ran low, we could grab more from the self-serve bar.

How was the pork jowl on the charcoal grill?

We started by grilling the pork jowl. The chewy texture that's so characteristic of pork jowl really came through, and the fat was just right, giving it a nice savory flavor. It wasn't too thin either, cut nice and thick, so there was something to chew on.

Thick-cut pork jowl grilled golden

It was tasty dipped lightly in salt, and just as good grilled alongside kimchi and bean sprouts. If you're searching for a meat restaurant near Gajeong Station and you're into pork jowl, this one's worth trying.

Lightly frozen radish salad served on the side

They also serve this radish salad along with it — it comes out lightly frozen, and that's a total kicker! Seriously so good eaten together with the meat.

Skirt meat and gochujang pork belly: which cut won?

We also ordered skirt meat, and the texture was completely different from the pork jowl, so I was glad we ordered both. Rather than sticking to just one cut, two servings of pork jowl plus one of skirt meat worked out well for us personally.

And then the extra gochujang pork belly we added! It comes out generously coated in the red sauce, and the smell hits you the moment it goes on the grill. Completely different vibe from regular pork belly, so it was fun switching between menu items partway through. The sauce already had plenty of seasoning so it was good eaten plain, and just as good wrapped.

Bibimbap, doenjang stew and ramyeon to round out the meal

Eating meat without carbs just feels wrong, so we ordered bibimbap too haha.

Bibimbap served in a large metal bowl
Bibimbap mixed together in the metal bowl

It comes out in a big metal bowl with rice, bean sprouts, vegetables, seaweed flakes, radish salad, and a fried egg on top. Mixed all together it's a pretty generous portion. Perfect topped with a piece of meat. If you're looking for a dinner spot in Seohae, Incheon, this is a solid combo of meat plus bibimbap.

Doenjang stew served with the meal

Can't skip the doenjang stew (fermented soybean paste stew) either. Sipping the hot broth between bites of meat cut through the richness nicely.

Ramyeon loaded with bean sprouts

I thought that would be the end, but we ordered ramyeon (instant noodles) too haha. The ramyeon was loaded with bean sprouts, so the broth felt a bit more refreshing than regular ramyeon. Eating the noodles together with the bean sprouts gave it a nice texture too.

From meat to bibimbap to doenjang stew to ramyeon, I genuinely thought I was going to burst. If you're hunting for pork belly near Gajeong-dong and care about the side menu too, there are plenty of options here.

Finishing with marshmallows toasted on the grill

And the most surprising part was the marshmallows at the end haha.

After finishing the meat, we grilled marshmallows right on the grill. Big marshmallows come skewered on sticks, and you just roll them gently over the grill. Grilling marshmallows at a BBQ restaurant gave off a bit of a camping vibe. Once the outside turned golden, the inside melted soft, making it a great way to close out the meal.

Overall there were plenty of cuts to choose from, and we could pick according to our taste while also getting a full meal in. Moving from the pork jowl and skirt meat to the seasoned gochujang pork belly especially kept things from getting repetitive till the end.
