Where to rest when walking Jeonju Hanok Village tires you out: Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang

There's a place I always go to when I visit Jeonju Hanok Village — Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang (안마족욕카페전망), a café in Jeonju Hanok Village! I actually went once before, paid out of my own pocket, and wrote a review about it. This time too, I was trudging around the hanok village and

thinking "ugh, I'm tired" when I walked in.

This is what lures passersby in. It's definitely a prime spot for healing. Whenever I walk through Jeonju Hanok Village and see this foot-shaped sign, I get drawn in like I'm hypnotized, thinking "hmm, my feet do hurt a bit, maybe I should rest here."

What is the Mimi celebrity seat at Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang?

Once you walk into Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang, you get this view looking straight out over the hanok village, with the foot bath machines lined up. A number of celebrities have visited, so there are seats marked with their names too. Last time I sat in the Yoo Jae-seok seat, and this time I sat in the Mimi seat. You know that feeling like you might absorb some good energy from it. Once you take off your shoes and socks and sit down,

they hand you something like this to press with your hands. A hand acupressure tool, I guess it's called — you hold it and squeeze away while relaxing, and right after that they get into the main event.

Choosing rose from the three aroma salts: peppermint, lavender, rose

Ta-da. Here's the salt they add to the foot bath 🧂 There were three kinds — peppermint, lavender, and rose. Each one had a slightly different function, apparently, like stress relief or fatigue recovery. I went with rose. Because I'm a fragrant person, obviously.

With cool AC air and warm sunlight on me, I dropped my feet straight into the water. Soaking warm feet in the hot water, my whole body went soft and mellow.

Ahh. Even looking back at this now, it feels healing. Soaking my feet and chatting with my friend, I thought this would also be a great date spot or bonding place.

The shoulder massager: a 30-minute break in a busy Jeonju trip

On top of that, they added a shoulder massager, and I found myself thinking "wow, are my shoulders really this tense?" while also clearly feeling like I was getting real rest. A break in the middle of a busy trip. My friend was next to me, gushing about how good it was too. Having a friend who's on the same wavelength is such a happy thing, and it doubles the gushing. I gushed right along with her.

Oh, and there was a review event running too, so keep that in mind.

One drink included: iced mosi-ip (ramie leaf) tea

And while doing the foot bath, you also get a drink included. It felt like a full package sort of thing. I picked mosi-ip (ramie leaf) tea. My body was warm from the foot bath, so I got it iced!

They bring it out to you pretty quickly. Cool AC air, a cold drink, a warm body — it had that exact vibe of opening the window in winter with the electric blanket on, or blasting the AC while under a cozy blanket. Basically, it's good.

True to being a café in Jeonju Hanok Village, Anma Jogyok Cafe Jeonmang really has an outstanding hanok view. A total view spot,,, don't you think I took good photos,,

The weather was really nice that day and the sky was pretty, so it was pure healing. After 30 minutes of aroma foot bath and shoulder massage wrapped up (by the way the time really flew by ㅠㅠ maybe because it was so relaxing, I lost track of time. So gooood)

Finishing with Goun Bal foot cream

Goun-bal cream time. Finishing off with soft foot cream made me think I'd definitely have to come back here in winter too. My feet felt so soft and smooth, like I was practically reborn.

The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, so it was a great place to rest, and it'd be a satisfying spot for a different kind of date or whenever you need a change of mood.
