Ttukseom Station café takeout: mascaberry cake and madeleines, Notldun
In short
Notldun is a dessert café on the Seoul Forest café street in Seongdong, Seoul, a 10-minute walk from Ttukseom Station Exit 8. This takeout order was a mascaberry petit gâteau topped with blueberries plus vanilla, lime, Earl Grey and pistachio madeleines, packed in a cooler bag so carefully that the cream still held its shape at home. Notldun is pretty enough for a gift and not overly sweet, and the café works just as well for sitting down with tea.

Notldun, where the desserts are just plain pretty
Walking around Seoul Forest, there are so many pretty dessert shops, and Notldun's clean exterior pulled me right in.
The petit gâteaux, mille-feuille, and array of madeleines here felt different from the cakes I usually see — so many options that picking just one was hard. This Ttukseom café was packed with desserts that looked as good as they tasted.

Where is Notldun and how do you walk there from Ttukseom Station?
Notldun is a dessert café at 1F, 11 Seoulsup 2-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. It's about a 10-minute walk from Exit 8 of Ttukseom Station, but you'll spot the brick building easily while wandering the Seoul Forest café street, so getting there by public transit is the easiest way.
Inside Notldun: the space and the seats
Stepping inside Notldun, a long white counter runs along the showcase. The clean white tone with wood accents naturally draws your eye to the desserts, and a coffee machine and grinder sit off to one side so you can enjoy dessert and drinks together.

The shop is compact but has seating if you want to eat in. Wooden benches and chairs sit below the logo on the wall — nice for a quick rest even though most orders are takeout — and the window seat gets great light, perfect for a photo with your dessert.

Beyond the showcase, the kitchen opens up through a large window. You can watch the pastry chef working the dough and finishing cakes in real time — a fun detail at this Ttukseom dessert café, seeing exactly how the desserts come together.

Notldun's baked goods: which madeleine flavors are there?
One side of Notldun is lined with an assortment of baked goods. The plump madeleines in particular are arranged by color, and I found myself staring at them for a while trying to decide which flavor to pick first.

The lime one had bright green zest dotted over yellow cream, looking fresh and zippy. The pistachio one was blanketed in finely crushed nuts, promising a nutty flavor.
The Earl Grey madeleine had tea leaves mixed in, giving it a deep brown color and a subtle fragrance you could almost smell. The vanilla stuck to the basics — same baked good, but each flavor had its own color and topping, making the choosing half the fun.

The baked goods are also available as selection packages. The financier selection, with seven pieces lined up together, felt like a solid variety just from the lineup alone, and it comes in an upscale box and shopping bag that would make a fine gift.

Notldun's petit cake showcase: Guanaja and mascaberry
On the other side of Notldun, the petit cakes are lined up in the showcase. The white Signature Blanc with a petal pattern etched in, the deep brown Signature Noir, and a chocolate cake topped with cherries — each one as precise as a jewel. These petit gâteaux felt like a different breed from ordinary cake, almost too pretty to eat.

What caught my eye were the Guanaja, coated in smooth chocolate, and the Mascaberry, piled high with blueberries. The Guanaja had a mirror-smooth dark chocolate coating that looked luxurious, while the Mascaberry's textured cream topped with plump blueberries read as refreshing at first glance.

The Valrhona Guanaja 40th anniversary selection at Notldun
On one side sat an information card from Valrhona, the French premium chocolate brand. It explained that this selection celebrates the 40th anniversary of Guanaja, their signature dark chocolate — and seeing that much storytelling put into a single chocolate made the care behind these desserts feel a cut above.

The Valrhona madeleine selection runs in a gradient from deep brown to white chocolate, with a logo etched in the center — the box alone shows the effort put in. A 40th anniversary trophy displayed alongside it gave the limited selection a real sense of occasion.

Notldun's drink menu and gift boxes
Next to the register at Notldun sits a bean grinder and machine. Stacked cups etched with the logo and freshly ground beans make it clear they put real thought into the coffee that pairs with the desserts.

The drink menu ranges from coffee to tea to ade. The tea uses Mariage Frères and TWG, making it a nice spot to enjoy tea time alongside dessert, and there's also a mocha or latte made with Valrhona Guanaja — a great pairing with the chocolate desserts at this Ttukseom café.

One side of the shop displays gift boxes for packing desserts to go. The boxes and shopping bags, sized in various options and all matching the logo, look tidy enough to gift as-is once you've filled one with a selection.
Cooler-bag packing: does the cream survive the trip home?
Since these desserts are cream-heavy and easy to spoil, having Notldun pack everything in a cooler bag put my mind at ease carrying it around, and the tidy cooler bag itself showed attention to detail right down to the packaging.

Opening the cooler bag revealed an ice pack tucked inside. The dessert was wrapped once in paper with the ice pack placed alongside it to keep the temperature steady on the way home, so even in hot weather the cream stayed cool and intact — very reassuring.

The cake came in a dedicated box sized just right for it. A white box with the logo subtly etched on made for a clean exterior, and it was fitted so the cake wouldn't shift inside — the care shown all the way to the moment you open the box.

Mascaberry cross-section: blueberry jam and cream
Opening the box revealed the Mascaberry sitting neatly inside. Blueberries dotted over the tightly piped cream looked refreshing just to see, and thanks to the cooler bag and box, the cream's shape hadn't budged an inch — exactly as it looked in the café.

With vanilla bean flecks dotted through the cream and halved blueberries on top, the colors were so pretty it felt almost a shame to eat this precise little petit cake in one bite.

Cutting it in half revealed distinct layers. Soft cream sat above a pool of blueberry jam, with a moist sponge layer underneath — one spoonful brought together the tartness and softness at once, and the sweetness wasn't overdone, so it was easy to finish without getting sick of it.

Four Notldun madeleines compared: vanilla, lime, Earl Grey, pistachio
Notldun's madeleines came individually wrapped in paper. Being wrapped one by one made them easy to share, and I appreciated the thoughtful packaging that made it simple to pull one out at home whenever I wanted.

Once plated at home, the yellow of the vanilla, green of the lime, deep brown of the Earl Grey, and bright light-green of the pistachio all lined up looked vibrant at a glance. Each had a thin glossy coating on the outside, and pulling one apart along its ridges hinted at a moist interior.
I started with the vanilla. The outside had a thin sugar coating that gave a slight crunch, while the inside carried a subtle vanilla bean fragrance and a moist bite — a basic flavor, but with a rich buttery finish that lingered.

The lime madeleine had zest on top, so the aroma hit first. Taking a bite brought bright acidity, a different vibe from the usual all-sweet baked goods — the lime's freshness layered nicely over the buttery flavor without feeling heavy.

The Earl Grey had ground tea leaves mixed into the batter, giving it a deep color. The fragrant black tea aroma spread through the mouth — a good pick with tea instead of coffee if you're a tea lover.

Last was the pistachio, coated thick with finely crushed nuts. The nutty flavor carried through every bite, blending smoothly with the moist batter — the strongest nutty aroma of the four, a treat if you love that flavor.
Final thoughts on Notldun
With precise petit gâteaux, madeleines and financiers, a Valrhona 40th anniversary selection, and tea all on offer, Notldun looks just as good as it tastes — a Ttukseom café worth grabbing as a gift or sitting down for a proper tea time.
