Eulwangri seafood restaurant full at 3pm on a weekend: Haesanggung

In short

Haesanggung is an octopus stir-fry and seafood kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant near Eulwangri Beach in Yeongjong, Incheon. Arriving at 3pm on a weekend, the writer found every table taken, then ordered the Haesanggung set for two at 57,000 won — whole octopus pancake, octopus stir-fry, seafood kalguksu and turmeric rice — and mixed somyeon (thin wheat noodles) into the sauce at the end. The stir-fry gets its heat from aged seasoning rather than artificial capsaicin, and the clean seafood kalguksu broth was the best part of the meal.

Inside Haesanggung at 3pm on a weekend

Inside, Haesanggung is a wide open space with generous table spacing — clean and comfortable ✨️✨️✨️ Even at around 3pm on a weekend, it was already completely full!!!!

Signs posted all around the restaurant caught my eye!!! 👀 Apparently Haesanggung uses zero artificial capsaicin — instead, red pepper flakes, garlic, and about 10 healthy ingredients are aged with their own recipe, making it a savory, deliciously spicy health food. 🔥

I also checked out the health benefits of octopus!!!! They're incredible. Today I figured I'd properly nourish myself. 🤗

Today's order 🗒 Haesanggung set for two, ₩57,000 — whole octopus pancake x1, octopus stir-fry x1, seafood kalguksu x1, turmeric rice x1

There's a self-serve extra side dish bar set up in one corner!! It's a self-service corner, so you can help yourself to as many extra side dishes as you like. 🥗

The Haesanggung set finally started arriving!!! It's a great-value spread letting you try octopus stir-fry, whole octopus pancake, seafood kalguksu, and turmeric rice all together. 🍽

Whole octopus pajeon (green onion pancake)

A pancake with an entire octopus baked in, with a texture as crispy as pastry. 🤗

True to a solid Yeongjong restaurant recommendation, it wasn't just batter — the fillings were generously piled in too 😋

The pancake at Haesanggung, this Yeongjong octopus stir-fry spot, was crispy outside, moist inside — so delicious 👍👍👍

Nakji bokkeum (spicy octopus stir-fry)

The chunky, springy octopus was tender, and the spicy sauce had that appetite-boosting, deliciously spicy kick 🔥

Just to remind you again!! Haesanggung's octopus stir-fry uses zero artificial capsaicin — with red pepper flakes, garlic, and around 10 healthy ingredients aged with their own recipe, it wasn't harsh with seasoning-flavor at all, just deliciously spicy 🔥

Turmeric rice and somyeon noodles in the sauce

Interesting turmeric rice!! 🍚 Haesanggung, this Yeongjong octopus stir-fry spot, doesn't serve plain rice — instead it's turmeric rice, packed with nutrition, texture, and health benefits.

Haesanggung's golden-hued turmeric rice

Adding bean sprouts and octopus stir-fry, mixing it all up, and taking a bite!! Deliciously spicy and hearty, with a different kind of heat from the regular octopus stir-fry sauce — really tasty 😋

The somyeon noodles!! The somyeon noodles get mixed into the octopus stir-fry sauce 🥢

Maybe because the sauce was so good, the noodles were springy and blended in perfectly — I slurped them up happily 😋

Seafood kalguksu topped with scallops and mussels

How was the seafood kalguksu broth?

Haesanggung's seafood kalguksu had chewy, tender noodles and a refreshing broth loaded with scallops, clams, mussels, shrimp, and more seafood 🍜

It was packed with fresh seafood, and the broth had a clean, refreshing quality nothing else could match 😋

The noodles were chewy and springy, and the clean seafood broth loaded with various shellfish was refreshing and light — I kept going back for just the broth. It wasn't harsh at all, no seasoning aftertaste, just clean 👏👏👏

A seafood kalguksu I'm already craving again. The noodles didn't go soggy even by the end, staying springy and chewy 👍👍👍

Everything in today's set at Haesanggung, this Yeongjong octopus stir-fry spot, was extremely satisfying — I now get why it's known as the Yeongjong octopus stir-fry and Eulwangri seafood kalguksu place to go. 🤗 If you're heading to Eulwangri Beach or Yeongjong, I definitely recommend stopping by.

Wrapping up another lazy-piggy kind of day!!! 🐷 Thanks for the meal.
