In short
Yukjjip's Eungam Station main branch is a two-floor charcoal Korean BBQ restaurant serving Jirisan aged pork in Eunpyeong, Seoul, a one-minute walk from Eungam Station Exit 4. After work, the writer and a friend ordered the 600g Yukjjip platter (54,000 won) of pork belly, signature pork neck and gabeuri-sal (a chewy shoulder cut) with grilled vegetables, all cooked start to finish by staff, and soju was 3,000 won. This time I visited Yukjjip (육쯥), the Eungam Station main branch that's hot in Eunpyeong for its pork belly. After work, my friend and I said, "Let's have really good pork belly tonight!" and went searching, and that's how we found it. Here's my review of a full, happy meal of charcoal-scented aged meat!🥰
Where is Yukjjip's Eungam Station main branch?
Yukjjip's Eungam Station main branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant just a one-minute walk from Eungam Station Exit 4.

The clean, stylish building stood out right away, and since it's a spacious two-story place, it's easy to spot from far away!
Does Yukjjip's 2nd floor have a Bulgwangcheon stream view?

Yukjjip's Eungam Station main branch runs on the 1st and 2nd floors, and the 2nd floor looks straight down on Bulgwangcheon stream through the windows. And Bulgwangcheon is famous for its cherry blossoms, right? They even hold a Bulgwangcheon Cherry Blossom Festival every spring.

It was night so I couldn't take a photo, and the view was nice even now, but I bet it's really pretty in spring🌸 The space is large and comfortable, so I think it's popular for company dinners and group get-togethers in Eungam too.
Yukjjip menu and prices: what to order on a first visit

If it's your first time at Yukjjip, I recommend the 600g Yukjjip platter (₩54,000), which comes with pork belly, signature pork neck and gabeuri-sal (the meat from the muscle where the pork neck meets the loin). Yukjjip serves Jirisan aged meat with real charcoal aroma. The menu runs from single cuts to well-put-together platters, and we chose the "Yukjjip platter" to enjoy several cuts evenly.

The great part here is that soju is ₩3,000, so it's perfect for having a drink with your meat.

Assorted side dishes and fresh lettuce, and the table is all set!
Does Yukjjip grill the meat for you?

Not long after we ordered, the Yukjjip platter arrived, and maybe because it's Jirisan aged meat, the color was vivid and the thickness was no joke😬

Yes, Yukjjip offers a grilling service where staff grill everything for you from start to finish. That's one of Yukjjip's strengths!🔥 Grilling is surprisingly annoying and the timing is hard, but here they take care of it all, so you can just eat comfortably, haha.

Eggplant and mushrooms grilled over the charcoal
At Yukjjip, they grill eggplant, mushrooms and assorted vegetables together with the meat.

The vegetables soak up the charcoal aroma and go so well with the meat fat. I never knew grilled eggplant could be such a treat.

How did each cut in the Yukjjip platter taste?
Signature pork neck: my top pick of the night
My pick of the Yukjjip platter that day was the signature pork neck! It looked thick in the photos, and in person it was even thicker. But strangely, it wasn't dry at all. The juices gushed out with the first bite, the savory flavor was rich, and I kept reaching for more. I instantly understood why it's the signature.

Pork belly: golden outside, juicy inside
Yukjjip's pork belly is the classic style that people looking for pork belly near Eungam Station will love! It's cooked golden outside and moist inside, with a really nice texture. With the aged meat's depth of flavor plus the charcoal aroma, I thought, pork belly never fails, haha.

Gabeuri-sal: a satisfyingly chewy cut
Need I say more, gabeuri-sal is always good! Yukjjip's gabeuri-sal had a nicely chewy texture. Eating it in between the pork belly and pork neck gave it a different charm. This was where I thought, glad we ordered the platter!

The restroom is inside the restaurant too, which is convenient❤️
Verdict: is Yukjjip's Eungam Station main branch worth it?
If you're looking for Korean BBQ near Eungam Station, Yukjjip's Eungam Station main branch was quite satisfying.
- One-minute walk from Eungam Station
- Staff grill the meat for you
- Jirisan aged meat full of charcoal aroma
- Really delicious signature pork neck
- ₩3,000 soju
- 2nd-floor picture windows overlooking Bulgwangcheon
Above all, I liked being able to eat so comfortably, and the pork neck quality was really satisfying! Next time I'd love to come when the cherry blossoms are out and sit by the window🌸 If you're looking for Korean BBQ in Eungam or Eunpyeong, give Yukjjip's Eungam Station main branch a try!
