Gwangju hair salon for a volume-boosting mom perm: Eco Revi

A little while ago, I took my mom out for some hairstyling—partly to give her a nice change of pace!

It was Eco Revi Hair & Spa Gwangju Hanam Branch, a salon that has been getting popular in Gwangju Hanam lately!

Inside & Interior

When I stepped inside, the interior was so neat and stylish. The overall white palette gave it a calm, upscale feel.

Even the waiting chairs were comfy, making it a private space where you could relax while waiting :) My mom loved how pretty and pleasant the salon was too.

Consultation & Styling Plan

The person taking care of my mom’s hair today was Designer Sangmin :) First up was a detailed client chart! They carefully checked her usual scalp and hair concerns, as well as the style she wanted. Rather than simply cutting hair, Sangmin kindly explained a treatment approach suited to her current hair condition, which made us trust the process even more.

Menu and Late-Night Appointments

Be sure to look through the treatment price list! It was organized into head spa, a variety of perms, color, and care options. I especially liked that there were more varied head spa and scalp-care options than at other places.

It is especially great that this is a late-night salon, so office workers and anyone who can only visit after work can come by! Late-night styling appointments and late-night head spas are both available. Being able to get hairstyling and scalp care without worrying about the hour made it really accessible among salons in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju.

Drinks were served after the consultation! There were lots of choices, including Americano, instant coffee, iced tea, and green tea, so you could pick whatever suited your taste.

Hair Before the Perm and the Volume She Wanted

This was my mom’s hair before the treatment! Her curls had loosened quite a lot, and it looked generally frizzy and in urgent need of some care,, My mom wanted curls while keeping volume at the roots!

A Carefully Done Perm

The perm was underway in earnest! As Sangmin wrapped the rods and worked so carefully, those precise yet quick hands even impressed me from the side, haha.

They were so kind about continually checking whether anything stung or felt too hot, and my mom looked happy throughout the whole appointment!

Head Spa and Shampoo Area

The standout point of this salon! It was the head spa and shampoo area. There was a dedicated space where you could lie back comfortably, enjoy a massage, and have a spa treatment.

The massage was done alongside the shampoo, and my mom raved that it felt truly healing, haha. It felt like coming in for hair and leaving with all the fatigue in your body washed away too..!

Natural Curls and Full Volume

Once everything was finished, we saw the completed style: the curls came out naturally and softly, so both my mom and I were happy with it.

The volume came through beautifully too.

Thanks to Designer Sangmin, who also kindly showed her how to style it herself at home, my mom’s change-of-pace outing was a total success!
