Why did we pick JT's Science Lab for the first weekend of summer vacation?
JT's Science Lab (마술사 제이티의 과학실험실) is a kids' science magic show we saw last year and loved, so we went back on opening day, July 26, 2026. My 8-year-old son's first summer vacation had just started and I was struggling to decide where to take him, and it happened to open today, July 26, so we went straight to the first show~
The show runs only 4 times in total, on July 26 and August 16, 23 and 30, in the main hall of the performance theater at Geomdan Welfare Center in Incheon. If you have a kid who loves science, or you're looking for things to do with children in Incheon over summer vacation or on weekends, book a seat and go see it.

We saw it last year. Is it still fun the second time?
This was our family's second time at JT's Science Lab. We saw it once last year and my son had such a good time that we booked again this year.
My 8-year-old was the one who brought it up first, saying "I want to see it again." Even the second time, he stayed focused to the very end, laughing and clapping, and I thought, yes, it was good that we came back.
If you're looking for things to do with kids in Incheon, a participatory show like JT's Science Lab seems like a sure bet.
Tips: bring a booster cushion and arrive early
To help your child see the stage from the seats in the Geomdan Welfare Center main hall, it's a good idea to bring a booster cushion. He's still a little shorty, so a booster cushion is a must, haha. We packed one, of course.
We arrived early and grabbed front-row seats. You choose your seats in order of arrival, so I'd recommend getting there a bit earlier so you're not cutting it close.
How does the show go?
JT's Science Lab starts with magician JT catching the kids' attention with magic from the moment he appears. Drumroll... and here he comes, magician JT! Immersion is what matters most in a participatory show like this, right? He grabbed the kids' attention with magic right from his entrance, and even I, the adult, got pulled in at the same time.
Meeting Toto the rabbit again, and the gifts
And the rabbit's name is Toto, so cute! Seeing him a year later, he was so cute and so good to see again! I was looking for places to take my kid in Incheon anyway, so glad you came back, Toto~
Whenever the audience responds and joins in well during the show, Toto hands out gifts. You know that's the moment the kids go wild, right? My little one grabbed a card too.
Watching magic-like science on a big stage, I thought about how it must be growing my son's imagination, and I felt it was really worth bringing him.
On-the-spot levitation magic with the audience
The levitation trick, which amazed even me as an adult, was done with on-the-spot participation from the audience. If you're looking for somewhere to go over summer vacation, don't hesitate, just book. It will be an unforgettable experience for your child.
A fun host who talks at kids' level
Above all, magician JT was a really fun host. He asked questions at the kids' level and cracked funny jokes, keeping the mood of the show going the whole time.
If it had been just explanations, my son would have lost focus halfway, but with magic and science blended together he enjoyed it all the way to the end.

In the main hall of the performance theater at Geomdan Welfare Center, the stage was easy to see from the seats, and with lots of families in the audience it felt comfortable to watch with kids.
How did my son react the second time?
Some of the content in JT's Science Lab had changed from last year, so we could enjoy the second viewing as something new. Honestly, I was a little worried about whether it would still be fun this year after seeing it once, but maybe because the joy of experiencing it firsthand matters more to him than remembering, he was as excited as if it were his first time.
Even on the way home after the show, he said, "Let's see it again if it comes next year." The biggest plus was that it's a show you can enjoy twice.
A perfect weekend, gift included~
