Sokcho seafood takeout for your stay: Yes Susan
In short
Yes Susan is a seafood shop on the first floor of Sokcho Jungang Market’s Tourist Fisheries Market in Sokcho, Gangwon. I took red snow crab lunchboxes and crab-innards fried rice back to my accommodation; the pre-cut crab made a relaxed dinner for three, though I had not expected much from takeout.

While traveling in Sokcho, I was looking for food to eat at my accommodation and picked up a red snow crab lunchbox and crab-innards fried rice from Yes Susan (예스수산). The crab had already been cut, so I did not need scissors, and it made an easy dinner at the accommodation.

Where is Yes Susan, and when can you visit?
Yes Susan is in Unit 124 on the first floor of the Tourist Fisheries Market at Sokcho Jungang Market. The hours listed in the original post were 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM from Wednesday through Monday, with regular closure every Tuesday. It also stated that delivery, reservations, simple payments, and parking were available in addition to takeout.
How much were the red snow crab lunchbox and fried rice?
The red snow crab lunchbox was ₩25,000 for two crabs and ₩33,000 for three. The flying-fish-roe marinated-crab fried rice was ₩8,000 separately, and it looked to me like nearly two bowls of rice. Stir-fried kimchi and salted seafood came with it as well.

I took out the red snow crab and crab-innards fried rice topped with crab meat together. The total came to a little over ₩30,000. I felt it could be an option even for someone with a small appetite who finds the portion or price of ordering crab dishes at a restaurant burdensome.

Could I eat it at my accommodation without extra prep?
It was packed in an insulated bag, so I took it back to my accommodation. After finishing my itinerary and getting a little hungry, I opened the lunchbox in an accommodation with an ocean view. Each crab shell was wrapped individually so the innards would not spill.

Not only the body and legs but also the claws had been cut, so I could eat it without scissors. Not having to use force to cut the shells was especially convenient for takeout. The stir-fried kimchi and salted seafood to have with the fried rice also felt generous.

How did the packed red snow crab taste, and how much was there?
I unwrapped the crab shell and dipped the leg meat in the innards. There was plenty of innards, so I scraped some into the fried rice and mixed it in, then had bites with the stir-fried kimchi and salted seafood.

At first, because it was takeout, I did not expect it to taste nearly as good as eating at a restaurant. But once I tried it, the aroma was rich and nutty, and I did not notice any fishiness to my taste. The rice mixed with extra innards was a treat, too.

It was easy to pull out the meat along the cut sections, and the amount of meat felt generous. The three of us ate the packed red snow crab and fried rice as one dinner. Being able to enjoy crab at the accommodation without the hassle of prep made me want to take it out again on my next Sokcho trip.
