After-work terrace pizza & beer by Myeongdong Cathedral: Seventy Four
In short
Seventy Four Myeongdong Cathedral Main Branch is a wood-fired pizza and pasta restaurant on the ground floor of the Familia Chapel at Myeongdong Cathedral in Jung-gu, Seoul. After work, the writer and a friend took terrace seats at Seventy Four and ordered Stella Artois draft beer, lime ade, a garden fruit salad (16,000 won), Amatriciana pasta (18,000 won) and a mushroom pizza (27,000 won). Seventy Four is a good place for a quiet terrace drink in the evening, right in the middle of Myeongdong.

I went to Seventy Four, a long-running favorite that has held down the ground floor of the Familia Chapel at Myeongdong Cathedral since 2014!

Step through the small, easy-to-miss entrance and the bustle of the Myeongdong streets fades away like magic, replaced by a comfortable space with real atmosphere.

By the entrance there's a 'CHEERS HERE 1+1' sign, and a wine or beer 1+1 event was on, so it was perfect for a cold drink after work! The interior looks great too, but the outdoor terrace seats beyond the railing were so atmospheric that we grabbed a spot outside.
What are the terrace and indoor dining room like at Seventy Four?

The terrace at Seventy Four Myeongdong is cozy enough that you can catch your breath right in the middle of the city, and I loved it! Feeling the cool Myeongdong air and chatting away with a friend after work was the best!

There are plenty of seats inside too, so if it's chilly outside or you want somewhere quieter, eating indoors would be great! It also looks ideal for a lunch brunch, a quiet date or a company dinner.
Getting to Seventy Four and what's on the menu
Seventy Four Myeongdong sits on the stairway opposite Patgogdang, on the ground floor of the Familia Chapel at Myeongdong Cathedral, so it's very easy to find! It's a 5-minute walk from Euljiro Station (Line 2, Exit 5) or Myeongdong Station (Line 4, Exit 8), and the building's underground car park is paid: ₩1,000 for the first 10 minutes, then ₩6,000 per 60 minutes.

The menu is well stocked with wood-fired pizzas, pasta, risotto and salads, and wine corkage is ₩30,000 per bottle, so keep that in mind!
After-work drinks: Stella draft beer and lime ade

Sitting on the Seventy Four terrace, we ordered a cold Stella Artois draft beer and a refreshing lime ade topped with apple mint to wash away the day's tiredness!
Salad, pasta and pizza at Seventy Four: taste and prices
Garden fruit salad (16,000 won)

Seventy Four's garden fruit salad (₩16,000) combines fresh mixed greens with seasonal fruit such as figs and oranges, plus an apple mint dressing, and the taste was bursting with freshness.

Amatriciana pasta (18,000 won)
The classic Amatriciana pasta (₩18,000) blended the clean acidity of tomato with savory bacon and the gentle heat of peperoncino, and the sauce clung to the noodles perfectly!

Truffle-scented mushroom pizza (27,000 won)
Last was Seventy Four's mushroom pizza (₩27,000), generously topped with button mushrooms and beech mushrooms. The subtle aroma of white truffle oil and savory mozzarella went well with the dough, making it mild yet hearty.

Who should go to Seventy Four in Myeongdong?
Pasta, pizza and cold beer, a full-course recharge on a romantic terrace below Myeongdong Cathedral: that was Seventy Four Myeongdong! I strongly recommend it if you're looking for an after-work meeting spot near Myeongdong, a restaurant with a nice terrace, or a brunch and wine place!
