Jamsil group dinner Korean BBQ: 4-person set grilled for you, Migang
In short
Migang Sikdang is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Songpa, Seoul, a 6-minute walk from Samjeon Station Exit 4, at the Asia Athletes' Village Apartment intersection. Four friends came to celebrate after a wedding and shared the 4-person set of samgyeopsal (pork belly), pork neck, pork jowl, pork skin and jjokgalbi (short ribs), plus doenjang jjigae, steamed egg and migang fried rice, with a staff member grilling each cut in order rather than mixing them. Because the grilling was handled for them, the table could focus on talking, which made Migang Sikdang an easy choice for group meals and work dinners in Jamsil.

After my wedding, I've had a string of get-togethers where friends wanted to celebrate with me. This time it was my partner's friends, so we met up for lunch and congratulations. Since there were several of us, we needed somewhere that could handle a group, so we headed to Migang Sikdang, a famous Jamsil Korean BBQ spot.

Where is Migang Sikdang, and is there parking? 6 minutes from Samjeon Station Exit 4
Migang Sikdang, a famous Jamsil Korean BBQ restaurant, is a 6-minute walk from Samjeon Station Exit 4. It's located right at the U-turn point on the Asia Seonsu Village Apartment intersection. With 2 hours of free parking for about 30 cars, it's also a great Jamsil Korean BBQ spot for family outings.

Migang Sikdang's atmosphere is well-suited to groups, so it would work just as well for gatherings or work dinners. And since the staff grill the meat for you, it's perfect if you're looking for a hassle-free restaurant for a group meal.

What comes in the 4-person set: samgyeopsal, pork neck, pork jowl, pork skin, jjokgalbi
We ordered the 4-person set along with doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), steamed egg, and migang fried rice. The 4-person set came with four cuts: samgyeopsal (pork belly), pork neck, pork jowl, and pork belly skin, plus jjokgalbi (short ribs) — a nice lineup that let a group try a bit of everything.
At BBQ places, larger groups sometimes have to order dishes one by one, but having everything bundled into a set made ordering simple. Instead of just eating samgyeopsal the whole time, working through pork neck, pork jowl, pork belly skin, and jjokgalbi in sequence meant the texture changed with each cut, so we never got bored partway through.

Self-serve wrap vegetable bar and charcoal grilling at Migang Sikdang
Even the side dishes were fresh and delicious — the owner personally shops for 10 kinds of lettuce wrap vegetables at Garak Market, along with bananas, cherry tomatoes, and green onions, all grilled over live charcoal.

There's also a self-serve bar, so you can grab as many vegetables as you like — such a nice touch.

The 4-person set arrived, and they told us they'd grill it starting with the samgyeopsal, in order. As expected from a 4-person set, the portion was massive. The meat was thick and had great color — it looked incredibly appetizing.

Do the staff grill for you? One cut at a time, in order
At Migang Sikdang, they show you the full spread of meat, then take it away to smoke-grill it separately. Having it grilled to perfection and brought to us was so convenient.
The grill pan that came with the meat had separate sections for grilling steamed egg, corn cheese, and kimchi so they wouldn't mix. Since these came as complimentary sides, we could snack on the steamed egg or corn cheese while the meat cooked, and the kimchi got nicely browned on the grill, pairing well with the meat. Not having the meat and side dishes mixing together on the grill made things easier and cleaner to eat.

What I personally loved was that instead of throwing all the meat on the grill at once, they grilled it starting with the pork jowl and kept each cut separate. Because the cuts didn't mix, we always knew exactly what we were eating, and they'd bring out the next cut just as we finished the last one — the pacing was great.

Pork jowl (hangjeongsal)
Wow, the pork jowl was so springy, with a chewy texture that built up the more you chewed — genuinely delicious. You could tell right away they were using good quality meat, and my partner's friends kept saying how great the place was.
Samgyeopsal (pork belly)
Next they grilled the samgyeopsal and put it on the pan.

Once it was browned, the samgyeopsal had a great nutty flavor — the meat was thick and full of juice, so it was delicious even just dipped in salt.

Pork neck and jjokgalbi (short ribs)
Next came the pork neck, and once again every single piece was thick and delicious. I was genuinely impressed by how they'd chosen such good cuts.
The jjokgalbi (short ribs) came out with exactly four pieces for the four of us. The meat was thick, so we cut it up and grilled it a bit more, and the bones were easy to gnaw on. It was so good that even though it was lunchtime, I couldn't help but crave a beer. And that clever ice basket — amazing, honestly 👍👍

Pork skin (kkeopdegi)
The pork belly skin was exactly my style — sweet on the outside and chewy on the inside — the kind of flavor that practically demands a shot of soju, so I actually considered ordering more.

Sides at Migang Sikdang: steamed egg, doenjang jjigae and migang fried rice
The grilled steamed egg was so good we ordered an extra portion, and it was absolutely the right call. It was loaded with flying fish roe, so alongside the soft egg you'd get little pops of roe — a really fun texture.
The doenjang jjigae came with a big rib bone inside, which surprised me when it arrived. The broth was rich and savory from the meat, and being able to pick up the rib and gnaw the meat off it was a nice, unexpected treat.

The migang fried rice had a spicy kick, making it perfect to finish with after drinks and meat. They told us to let it sit on the grill until the bottom crisped up a bit before eating, and it turned out to be a total soju thief — the crispy bottom layer became like nurungji (scorched rice) and was so good.

Can you bring kids? Ice cream for dessert and an arcade machine
Migang Sikdang serves ice cream for dessert and has an arcade machine in the store, so it seems like a fine spot to bring kids along too. Children can get bored quickly after eating meat, but with ice cream for dessert and an arcade game to play, it looked like a solid choice for a family outing. Combined with the fact that staff do the grilling, adults can chat over the meat while kids enjoy dessert and games — it really felt like a Jamsil Korean BBQ spot that works well for families too.

Eating ice cream while also getting to try a lucky draw game haha, this place really does have everything.
Is Migang Sikdang a good Jamsil spot for gatherings and work dinners?
Maybe because it was a celebratory lunch with my partner's friends right after the wedding, this meal feels extra memorable. The menu lineup was great, the meat was genuinely delicious, and having staff grill it for us meant we could relax and focus on conversation during the gathering — that part I really loved. If you're looking for a great Jamsil Korean BBQ spot for group get-togethers, I'd recommend Migang Sikdang!
