Pet-friendly jokbal restaurant in Jamsil Saenae, Seoul: Manjok Ohyang
In short
Manjok Ohyang Jokbal Jamsil Sincheon Branch is a jokbal (braised pig's trotters) and bossam (boiled pork with wraps) restaurant on Baekjegobun-ro 7-gil near Jamsil Saenae Station in Songpa, Seoul. The order was the fire-grilled jokbal & bossam combo with a medium jaengban guksu (cold noodle platter), and the flame-grilled trotters carried real smoky char while the thick-cut bossam burst with juice, served with complimentary tteok-mandu-guk (rice cake and dumpling soup) and napa cabbage. I'd been hunting for a good jokbal (pig's trotter) restaurant near Jamsil Saenae, and finally made it here. Honestly I was also looking for a decent spot to drink near Jamsil Saenae, and when this place kept showing up on local recommendation lists, I booked it right away.

Where is Manjok Ohyang Jokbal Jamsil Sincheon Branch, and what are its hours?
Manjok Ohyang Jokbal Jamsil Sincheon Branch sits at Jamsil-dong 189-4, on Baekjegobun-ro 7-gil in Songpa-gu, Seoul, and is open 12:00–23:30. Michelin Bib Gourmand nine years running, a Blue Ribbon Survey listing, and a spot among Seoul's top 3 jokbal — the titles alone tell you this is a heavyweight in Songpa's jokbal scene.
It's a place that lives up to its name even among Jamsil Saenae's best restaurants — honestly felt like the textbook definition of a great jokbal spot around here.

Being recognized as one of Seoul's top 3 jokbal spots by actual customers really built up my expectations. Even from the entrance you could feel the reputation, and the smell of jokbal pulled me right in.

Inside Manjok Ohyang: partitioned booths, a big TV and pets welcome
The dining hall at Manjok Ohyang Jokbal Jamsil Sincheon Branch is spacious and comfortable, perfect for group gatherings or a work dinner. Apparently a lot of people looking for a drinking spot near Jamsil Saenae end up eating and drinking here too. I thought the booth dividers were a nice touch.

Restaurants with this much space are rare around Jamsil Saenae, and pets are welcome too — I actually saw a customer there with their dog. The weather was so nice I wished they had outdoor tables for an evening drink.

There's also a big TV, great for watching soccer or baseball while you eat. That kind of detail actually matters when picking a jokbal restaurant in Songpa. The tables were spaced out generously too, so we didn't have to raise our voices to talk — really comfortable.

The table: fire-grilled jokbal & bossam with a medium jaengban guksu
We ordered the fire jokbal & bossam with a medium jaengban guksu. They only use domestic pig's trotters and serve it up as a proper, upscale table — among Songpa jokbal restaurants, the ingredient quality here is definitely top tier.

The portions were generous and everything felt fresh. It looked like a perfect drinking snack for a night out near Jamsil Saenae — if you want to properly enjoy jokbal around here, this combo comes highly recommended.
The free tteok-mandu-guk and napa cabbage at Manjok Ohyang
The complimentary tteok-mandu-guk (rice cake and dumpling soup) was a perfect side for drinking, and it came with plenty of dumplings to snack on between bites. It was good enough that I was tempted to order a bowl of rice just to mix it in.

The napa cabbage got sweeter the more you chewed it, and wrapping the bossam and jokbal in it was a great pairing — genuinely delicious.
Jaengban guksu: the sauce is what makes it
The jaengban guksu (cold noodle platter) came in a sweet-and-tangy broth with springy, chewy noodles that made for a fun bite, loaded with all kinds of vegetables.
It's exactly the refreshing contrast you need to cut through the richness — a perfect pairing. And honestly, that sauce was the real kicker!

Thick-cut bossam and smoky fire-grilled jokbal
Isn't the fire jokbal & bossam plate a work of art? The meat was nice and thick, and I loved being able to get both jokbal and bossam in one order.
The bossam came sliced thick, and the moment you bit into a piece the juices practically burst out. Dipping it lightly in salted shrimp sauce doubled the savory flavor. I personally kept going for two pieces at a time — it was that good.

This ranks among the best meals I've had around Jamsil Saenae — it might make me rewrite my list of Songpa's best jokbal restaurants. I'd recommend wrapping the jokbal and bossam together in perilla leaves.

The charcoal-grilled jokbal has a lightly charred exterior with that smoky flavor spreading through, while the inside stays moist with absolutely no gamey smell. It's a bit spicy too, which cuts the richness and pairs nicely in contrast with the bossam — great to alternate between the two.

Just a light press with your chopsticks and it pulls apart cleanly along the grain — that balance of chewy skin and tender meat is just art. It made a great drinking-snack combo for a night out near Jamsil Saenae, and I felt like I'd properly experienced jokbal done right here.
Would I go back to Manjok Ohyang in Jamsil Saenae?
If you're looking for jokbal near Jamsil Saenae, I genuinely recommend Manjok Ohyang Jokbal Jamsil Sincheon Branch. It works perfectly as a drinking spot or a proper meal, and among Songpa's jokbal restaurants, it nails ingredients, space, and flavor all at once.
No gamey pork smell at all — I'm planning to come back with friends for the spicy garlic jokbal & bossam next time, and I'll definitely be a regular!
