Anguk pizza: No. 2 queue ticket, corn-taco half-and-half, Low Five

In short

Low Five Anguk (로우파이브 안국) is a pizza restaurant on a Bukchon-ro alley near Anguk Station in Jongno, Seoul, a branch of Low Five, the pizza shop that started in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. Arriving just after 11am on a weekday before lunch opening, the writer got waiting ticket no. 2 and ordered a corn and Tex-Max taco half-and-half pizza (27,000 won) and shrimp spicy rigatoni (18,000 won). Low Five Anguk has a long line before opening, so go early, but the corn pizza alone is worth the wait.

First photo of a visit to Low Five Anguk near Anguk Station

Low Five, the famous Suwon Haenggung-dong pizza place, opened a branch at Anguk Station, so I went! Low Five coming to Anguk~~ I met up with a friend who lives nearby and enjoyed a yummy Low Five Anguk lunch. Here's my review!!

What time should you go to Low Five Anguk?

Low Five Anguk opens at 11:30am, but waiting tickets are handed out on site from 11:05am, and remote waiting on Catch Table starts at 11:40am. I arrived just after 11 and got ticket no. 2!!

Front of Low Five Anguk with a line already forming before opening

Low Five at Anguk Station is seriously popular. It opens at 11:30, but tickets go out on site from 11:05. I showed up just after 11 and got no. 2!!

How to get to Low Five Anguk

Take village bus no. 2 and get off at Jaedong Elementary School; Low Five Anguk is 1 minute away. You can't see it from the main road because it's tucked inside an alley, but it's easy to find!

Wait, why is this place so popular from the moment it opens? It's even more popular than Low Five in Suwon Haenggung-dong!!

I got ticket no. 2 and was looking at the menu while waiting, and more and more people kept arriving. No lie, the line grew like crazy before 11:30. Catch Table waiting starts at 11:40!!

Low Five Anguk full after seating guests in ticket order

Low Five Anguk seats people in ticket order, so the restaurant filled up fast!! I had already pre-ordered food while waiting, so once seated I only had to order drinks by QR code, which was convenient.

Inside Low Five Anguk just after lunch opening

Wow, is the popularity of Low Five at Anguk Station for real? This is a place you absolutely have to wait for, so I recommend coming early~!!!

What to order at Low Five Anguk: the corn pizza

Low Five's signature is the corn pizza, and we ordered it as a half-and-half pizza, where you pick two flavors in one. Half-and-half is normally ₩26,000, but choosing the Tex-Max taco pizza adds ₩1,000, so ours was ₩27,000.

I can't forget how moved I was the first time I had Low Five's corn pizza in Haenggung-dong~ We got half corn pizza and half Tex-Max taco pizza. It's delicious on its own, but eating them half and half is even better!! My friend even said, "I'm full, but the pizza is so good I keep eating."

The new Tex-Max taco pizza is a must, highly recommend!!!

Tex-Max taco pizza, with cilantro on top

Low Five's Tex-Max taco pizza has a spicy chipotle base topped with grilled shrimp, hot chicken, bacon and salsa, plus cilantro. You really get the spiciness of a taco, and I thought it would go so well with beer. The toppings keep you reaching for another slice.

Does the shrimp spicy rigatoni go with the taco pizza?

The shrimp spicy rigatoni (₩18,000) is a spicy rigatoni pasta with shrimp and bacon, so ordering it with the Tex-Max taco pizza makes a spicy pizza plus spicy pasta combo.

Shrimp spicy rigatoni with shrimp and bacon

I ordered it because I like the rigatoni noodles, but the Tex-Max taco pizza is already on the spicy side, so I thought I should have balanced it with a softer, milder pasta.

Still, the plump shrimp were tasty, and it's the only rigatoni pasta Low Five sells, so I recommend it!!

Who eats at Low Five Anguk?

Still, when all is said and done, the truth is Low Five pizza!! At Low Five near Anguk Station in particular, there were quite a lot of middle-aged guests coming for brunch gatherings, not just young people. While I was waiting, a middle-aged woman asked me, "What's good here?" and I strongly recommended the corn pizza, haha.
