Dog café by Hyundai Dept. Store, Daegu: low-acid americano, Daenghaus

On these sweltering days, I went to Daenghaus&Bingsuking (댕하우스&빙수킹) in Dongseongno, a dog-friendly café in Daegu where you and your dog can cool off, and it even has a pool :)

Where is Daenghaus&Bingsuking and how does parking work?

Daenghaus&Bingsuking is a dog-friendly café at 95-2 Jungang-daero 81-gil, Jung-gu, Daegu, near Hyundai Department Store. It has no dedicated parking lot, so I parked at a nearby public car park and walked over :)

The whole building is set up for visiting with your dog, so it was easy to relax with a pet. It's open daily 11:00 - 22:00, and reservations, takeout and delivery are available too.

Interior and safety gates

The interior is really spacious, and I loved the modern vibe~ Being a pet-friendly café, you get to see lots of cute dogs too, which made just looking around fun.

Every door has a safety gate for the dogs, so I think owners visiting with their dogs can feel a bit more at ease.

Even a swimming pool at Daenghaus&Bingsuking

This is the outdoor area of Daenghaus&Bingsuking! It's very large and pleasant, a great spot for dogs to run around as much as they like.

There's a cute photo zone and a big pool just for doggies, so I thought you could even spend your summer vacation here staying cool!

How do you order, and what's on the menu?

You order at a kiosk, which was super convenient~ We found a seat and ordered a cold drink and bingsu (shaved ice dessert) right away.

The owner was also so kind, and I liked the place from the first impression!

The dessert showcase has tasty-looking desserts, too.

Besides drinks, there are desserts and food, so you can order whatever suits your taste.

Dog menu: Mungpuccino and moist chicken breast

There's a cute Mungpuccino and a moist chicken breast menu made for dogs, so your pup can enjoy a treat together with you.

How was the iced americano?

We ordered the mango cheese bingsu and an iced americano. When your order is ready, a staff member brings it right to your table.

It was so hot... this iced americano was perfect for quenching my thirst.

The iced americano at Daenghaus&Bingsuking had almost no acidity and a smooth, nutty flavor, so the coffee itself was really good.

It was so cold it gave me a brain freeze, and it suited the sweltering weather well.

What does the mango cheese bingsu look like?

The mango cheese bingsu at Daenghaus&Bingsuking is a very generous portion, served with Jolly Pong (chocolate cereal puffs) and condensed milk to add as you like. I think it was my first bingsu of the summer. Mango cheese bingsu!!!!!!! So pretty~

Definitely add the condensed milk~ it makes it even sweeter. You could really feel the mango flesh! The mango pieces were big, so my mouth was full of sweet mango.

On the soft milk ice, I drizzled plenty of ice cream and condensed milk, and one bite had a charming softness that melts in your mouth.

And with the thick, rich cheese~~~ added on, the nutty flavor came alive even more. After a bowl of mango cheese bingsu, I was so satisfied that I forgot all about the heat.
