Where is Dento? Bongsan-dong, a short walk from Banwoldang Station
Dento is a brunch café in Bongsan-dong, Jung-gu, Daegu, close to Banwoldang Station too. It's decorated with floor-to-ceiling glass and brick on the outside!

I did an open-run to get brunch here too, and Dento is great for sandwiches, coffee, and brunch in general! The signboard is cute and there are lots of plants, so both the inside and outside look pretty!

🅿 There's no dedicated lot or parking support at Dento, so you'll need to use a nearby paid parking lot!
Inside Dento: self-service bar, outlet seats and group seating
Inside Dento, there's a long self-service bar in the middle with seats on both sides. The photo below was taken from the back of the café looking toward the entrance!

From the wall color to the tables and chairs, everything is so pretty it gives off an earthy vibe, like a café somewhere in the Middle East, Dubai-style!

There's also a 4-seat table right by the order counter, and it has an outlet!

In the middle there's a long self-service bar, and it's really well stocked with tableware, water, wet wipes, and more!

There's exactly one group table, with a sofa chair plus 4-seat and 2-seat tables that can be pushed together for a bigger group!

The café atmosphere is also nice — there's a big speaker tucked in one corner playing soft music, which makes it feel like a great spot for a date!

What's on the menu at Dento
Here's the menu at Dento, a brunch café near Banwoldang in Daegu~! The signature is the five bite-size open sandwiches, and beyond that there are sandwiches paired with soup or salad set menus!!

There's also a wide range of drinks — coffee, blended teas, ades, juices, and even alcohol like beer and wine!
What I ordered: five bite-size open sandwiches and 100% grapefruit juice
- Five bite-size open sandwiches
- 100% grapefruit juice

Everything I ordered came out at once! For the 100% grapefruit juice, there's a kitchen-like space where you can actually watch them squeeze the grapefruit right there, and the bite-size sandwiches came as five different flavors, like finger food!

First, the 100% grapefruit juice is freshly squeezed and even has grapefruit pulp added in, so it's totally different from the artificial high-fructose grapefruit ade we usually drink — highly recommend trying it!

The order Dento suggests eating them in
For the bite-size sandwiches, they told us to eat them in this order from left to right: pan con tomate, avocado salmon, romesco roasted vegetables, shrimp rémoulade, and truffle ricotta!

Pan con tomate
Pan con tomate — made with finely chopped tomato — is a Spanish-style brunch dish! It's eaten on top of baguette or campagne bread, and it tastes great, like a morning tapas kind of thing~

Salmon and avocado
Salmon avocado uses ingredients we're all pretty familiar with! Avocado on bread topped with smoked salmon — the flavor doesn't stray far from what you'd expect, but it's delicious!!

Romesco roasted vegetables
The romesco roasted vegetables were one of the flavors that impressed me the most! Romesco is also a Spanish sauce, and it's especially flavorful — it comes topped with roasted broccoli and mushroom, and this was the most impressive and delicious bite for me!

Shrimp rémoulade
Shrimp rémoulade. Rémoulade sauce originated in French cuisine — it's a mayonnaise-based sauce combined with pickles and herbs, topped here with plump shrimp!! Seeing how they apply these famous European sauces to each ingredient one by one made me feel like the level of brunch-making here is really high!

Truffle ricotta
Last up is the truffle ricotta! This was my second favorite of the bunch — ricotta cheese with truffle mixed in, so both the flavor and aroma were great for this sandwich~ It's an ingredient combination that basically can't taste bad~
Is Dento worth a visit? Final verdict
Dento, a must-visit brunch spot and new café near Banwoldang in Daegu, is a finger-food brunch place where you can enjoy five different flavors! By serving brunch paired with a variety of famous European sauces, they offer dishes you don't often get to eat elsewhere, so I'd recommend visiting and trying it — and with the interior and atmosphere both being great, it's also a good spot for a date~~
