I visited Yahwa Solo Drinking Bar Konkuk University Branch, a wonderfully atmospheric solo bar near Konkuk University that is just right for those days! 🥂✨

I headed to Yahwa Konkuk University Branch while looking for somewhere with a nice atmosphere to reset on my way home from work! From the entrance, its retro feel and distinctive warm, atmospheric lighting welcomed me, and I felt relaxed the moment I stepped inside.

Warm lighting and a hallway made for selfies

The hallway leading into the bar had atmospheric posters, a pretty full-length mirror, and carefully arranged lighting! The thoughtful interior immediately made me think, “This place must be perfect for selfies.” 📸✨ The lighting was a warm orange rather than excessively dark, so even visiting alone did not feel awkward—it felt as though the space was wrapping around me cozily.

A note for today in the bar-table guestbook

Once I settled into a seat at the bar table, the first things that caught my eye were the guestbook notebook and the cute little objects on the table 📝 At Yahwa, guests can freely write down that day’s feelings, small stories, or short diary entries in the guestbook. Simply reading the warm notes left by other people one by one was comforting and so much fun! I picked up a pen and left a little note to remember my day too. The sweet chocolate and welcome dessert provided as standard were also such lovely little touches 🍫💕

Easy QR smart ordering, even when you are alone

One of the genuinely convenient things here was the QR-code smart ordering system! You can browse the menu and order easily from your phone, but it is not simply a list of drinks. There are thoughtful options such as “call staff,” “request a seat change,” and even “please recommend a cocktail!” 📱👍

A lot of people feel shy about calling staff loudly when they come alone, right? I could really feel the thoughtful consideration for solo drinkers, which made it even easier to relax and enjoy myself. When I was unsure which cocktail to choose, I was also very happy that I could press the “request a cocktail recommendation” button and have a kind staff member recommend something suited to my taste!

My solo time finished with a Godfather and Peach

As I held my glass and listened to the softly playing music, it felt as though all the stress and distracting thoughts that had built up simply disappeared 🕯️ The owner and manager spoke to me with just the right amount of warmth, never too much, so although I came alone, I did not feel lonely and left feeling wonderfully cared for.
