Bas Burger is one of the handmade burger places I stop by often. I really love the crisp vegetables, so I drop in whenever I get a burger craving. It is easy to find in Seoul's popular neighborhoods, and I have been to the Yeouido and Yeoksam branches several times. After Sunday morning service, I was in Samseong-dong and suddenly thought of Bas Burger's cool, sweet shakes, so I stopped by while I was at it.

A spacious dining room and seats farther inside

Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch has a pretty spacious dining room for a handmade burger place. It was this calm only because it was a slightly early holiday lunch; on weekdays, I imagine you would have no choice but to queue~ The cool window seats are nice, and the cozy seats farther inside are good too. I went for the inside, haha. It was still a bit hot then.

The burgers and shakes I always order

Without even looking, a shake for the drink. I picked up one Chili Mozza Cheese Bar because I thought my youngest, still asleep since it was a holiday, would like it. Then I ordered the Double Bas Burger and Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger, the items I always get whenever I come to Bas Burger. I seem to order this exact combination every time~

A rush of customers came in all at once, so there was a slight delay, but it finally arrived: shakes, Double Bas Burger, Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger, and Chili Mozza Cheese Bar, haha. First of all, I just love the generous amount of vegetables inside the burgers. Somehow, the older I get, the more I prefer handmade burgers full of abundant vegetables over ones with thick patties.

This, this Chili Mozza Cheese Bar. It is brushed with chili oil, so it has a little kick. It is packed with that distinctively chewy mozzarella; I tried a bite, and my child loved it so much.

Why the Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger was my favorite

The Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger, packed with grilled shrimp, was the highlight of this Samseong Station lunch. Its harmony with the abundant vegetables was great too. I loved the shrimp juices bursting in my mouth. The Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger is not greasy at all—just clean and nutty.

A Double Bas Burger that is not over the top

For lunch near Samseong Station, this is probably the Double Bas Burger that most guests will have. There are more over-the-top burgers, but this level is just right for me. I doubt I am the only one who finds extra patties a little greasy. The balance with the vegetables is so good, and the sauce not being excessive is another appealing point.

A shake that is easy to add without overdoing it

Ah, finally, the shake I love so much. Since I was young, I always ordered a shake whenever I went to a burger place. The texture is a little thicker than what I think of as a shake texture, but where can you even find shakes these days? It is really hard. While many places charge far too much, Bas Burger offers shakes at a fairly reasonable price, so I think one would be easy to enjoy with lunch near Samseong Station.

I have been enjoying pizza a lot lately, but it had been a while since I last had a burger, and tasting Bas Burger like this was so nice. The Double Bas Burger really is the number-one Bas Burger burger. A handmade burger with exactly the right balance, haha.

But still, my personal number one at Bas Burger for a handmade burger lunch near Samseong Station is the Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger. While other handmade burger places use ground, fried shrimp, Bas Burger grills the shrimp and fries the onions instead to strike a balance. I love that point so much. Especially the freshness of the sauce.

When you want a simple handmade burger near Samseong Station, Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch seems like a good choice. The seating is nice too. Most of all, it is even better because there are affordable, delicious shakes.
