Where is Yuk Lab Yeouido, the Korean BBQ restaurant near Yeouido Station?

I wanted good meat in Yeouido, so this time I visited Yuk Lab Yeouido.

It's right near Yeouido Station, so it was easy to find, and the restaurant is on the 2nd floor.

Being so close to the station makes it a convenient meeting spot, and it's also handy if you're looking for somewhere to eat in Yeouido after work. If you're near Yeouido Station and want a place to enjoy meat while chatting comfortably, it's worth keeping in mind.

Private rooms for every table and a black-toned interior

What I liked most about Yuk Lab Yeouido was that every single seat is in a private room. At a Korean BBQ place, taste matters, but so does whether you can talk comfortably while eating. Because it's set up as private rooms, we could relax and enjoy the meal without worrying about the tables around us.

The atmosphere was also impressive. The black-centered interior felt upscale and sophisticated overall, giving it a better vibe than your typical BBQ restaurant. It seemed like it would suit not just dates or friend gatherings but also family meals, engagement gatherings, or company dinners where you want a slightly more refined setting.

What comes in the Yuk Lab set for two

What we ordered that day was the set for two.

I wanted to try several cuts evenly, and I liked that this set comes with three kinds of meat together — tosisal (hanger steak), lamb ribs, and jingalbisal (short rib flap meat).

Not just beef but lamb ribs too, so you get to enjoy a variety of meats at once — pretty great.

On top of that, 10-second cheese and doenjang jjigae come with it too, so the meal turned out more substantial than I expected. If two people are visiting a Korean BBQ restaurant in Yeouido and want to try a variety of meats without ordering separate menu items, Yuk Lab Yeouido's set menu seems like a solid choice.

They have house liquor, but also wine and drink sets that pair well with meat. Beer sets, soju sets, haha — good for anyone who likes to drink, or for company dinners.

How do the tosisal, jingalbisal and lamb ribs taste?

At a Korean BBQ restaurant, the taste and quality of the meat matter most. Trying it myself, the meat quality at Yuk Lab Yeouido was good, so overall I enjoyed the meal.

The jingalbisal was tender in texture and let me enjoy a rich, deep meat flavor.

The tosisal was clean-tasting while still carrying that distinctive beefy aroma,

and eating the lamb ribs alongside it gave a completely different kind of flavor from the beef — really tasty. They said the lamb ribs use lamb under 12 months old, seasoned and aged, which is said to make the texture tender with less of that gamey smell. Eating it in person, it really wasn't off-putting and was pleasant and tender to eat.

So juicy, whoa.

Side dishes and extras served with the meat

There were also a variety of basic side dishes and accompaniments to eat alongside the meat.

Rather than just eating a piece of meat plain, pairing it with side dishes lets you enjoy slightly different flavors each time. Eating only meat continuously can get a bit greasy, but with several accompaniments on hand, I could eat all the way through without getting tired of it.

Who is Yuk Lab Yeouido a good fit for?

Overall, my visit to Yuk Lab Yeouido this time was satisfying. Being close to Yeouido Station made it convenient to get to, the all-private-room setup made for a comfortable meal, and I especially liked being able to try a variety of beef and lamb ribs. Above all, thanks to the upscale black interior and separate private room space, it seems like a great place to visit on a day when you want to eat in a more relaxed atmosphere.

It was a Yeouido BBQ restaurant where I could enjoy a variety of meats at once while still having a nice atmosphere.

After eating my fill of delicious meat at Yuk Lab Yeouido, going for a walk along the Yeouido Han River afterward was just perfect.
