Downtown Jamsil is a burger restaurant near Seokchon Lake and close to Songpanaru Station. If you're looking for a craft burger for a Jamsil date, it's a good place to stop by.

Inside Downtown Jamsil: the vibe

From the exterior to the interior, Downtown Jamsil was a really hip premium fast-food burger brand.

The menu has a lot of unique items, and the interior is unique too. Hip vibes through and through.

The space was a bit bigger than I expected, and there seemed to be a lot of takeout and delivery orders too.

With the cool blue color scheme and music echoing through the shop, it's a burger place with a really lively, hip atmosphere.

What are Downtown's signature menu items?

Downtown has a wide range of dishes, so I started with the signature ones.

• Avocado Burger: Downtown's signature burger, with creamy avocado tucked between fresh vegetables, so even people who find burgers a bit heavy can enjoy it.
• Shrimp Deluxe Burger: a burger with a springy whole-shrimp patty, coleslaw and smoky mustard.
• Jumbo Mozza Stick: a jumbo-size cheese stick with chewy mozzarella.

I'd also recommend other items like garlic butter fries, sweet crunchy sweet potato fries, salads and coleslaw.

Are pickles, hot sauce and drinks self-serve at Downtown Jamsil?

At Downtown Jamsil you grab your own pickles, and I liked that there are two flavors.

There's hot sauce too, so add it to your burger. So good~~

Drinks are self-serve, so you can basically count on free refills ^^

What we ordered at Downtown Jamsil and how to order

I ordered the Downtown signature burger, the Downtown Hot Honey Chicken Burger, Butter Garlic Fries and onion rings. I got one as a set and swapped the side for onion rings, paying the price difference!

You order at the counter and the staff bring the food to you. When you're done, you return your tray yourself.

How do the Butter Garlic Fries taste?

Downtown's Butter Garlic Fries are piled with butter garlic sauce, so the buttery garlic flavor in your mouth is no joke!!!

Next time I want the sweet crunchy sweet potato fries. I heard the plain original fries without sauce are a must-order at Downtown too, so I'll try those haha

How big are Downtown's burgers?

The burgers were packed with a juicy patty and fresh vegetables, but they're not big, so if a guy is ordering just one burger, I'd definitely recommend adding a side haha

Is the Downtown Signature Burger salty?

In the Downtown signature burger, the meat patty, tomato, onion, cheese and sauce were nicely balanced, and it wasn't salty, so it was easy to eat. I personally don't love salty flavors, and Downtown's burger was mild and clean-tasting.

Is the Hot Honey Chicken Burger spicy?

The Downtown Hot Honey Chicken Burger, though, is intense. The sauce is amazing~ pure punchy flavor, deliciously stimulating but not spicy! It isn't too hot or too sweet, and if you want a tasty burger that feels more like Korean seasoned fried chicken than a craft burger, I recommend it haha

The chicken patty was fried just right, the sauce never got cloying, and the combination with the coleslaw was surprisingly good haha If you want something unusual, try it!!

The onion rings were crispy, but next time I'd like to order a different side haha
