Sulsulzzi here! I visited Bucheon again after a while — it's not far from home so I go there often, but this time I came for meat. Perfect for a company dinner. This is Gogi Gubneun Bangatgan Sinjung-dong Station Branch, a Korean BBQ spot near Sinjung-dong Station.

3 minutes from Sinjung-dong Station Exit 3 — and where to park

Gogi Gubneun Bangatgan is 3 minutes from Exit 3 of Sinjung-dong Station, but there's no parking. We parked at a nearby public parking lot.

Walking in, the interior was way more spacious than I expected. The tables weren't cramped at all, so it seemed fine for group visits too, and each table has a big hood so I figured smoke and smell wouldn't be much of an issue while grilling.

Overall it's black-toned with gold accents as a highlight, so it felt cleaner and more polished than a typical BBQ place!

Soju and beer really are ₩1,500 at Gogi Gubneun Bangatgan

The moment we walked in, one thing caught my eye: they're giving up their liquor margin! Soju, beer, and drinks all ₩1,500 — isn't that insane? How is alcohol this cheap???

You bring your own drinks self-serve, and at checkout the staff counted the bottles to settle up.

What's on the self-serve bar and in the side dishes

There's also a self-bar on one side stocked with lettuce, peppers, garlic, scallion shreds, kimchi, and all sorts of sauces — basically everything you need for eating meat. No need to hold back, just grab away.

They don't make you grab everything from the self-bar from the start though — the basic banchan (side dishes) are already set out for you. Beondegi (silkworm pupae), scallion shreds, kimchi, sauces — side dishes to cut through the richness of the meat.

What comes in the ₩59,000 Bangatgan A Set

Bangatgan A Set for ₩59,000 — since we were eating anyway, might as well go all out, so I ordered it. It's made up of pork belly, pork neck, pork jowl, and smoked makchang, so the lineup was pretty varied.

The meat was sliced at a nice thickness, so once it hit the grill everything cooked evenly. This place is even better enjoyed with a bigger group — Gogi Gubneun Bangatgan, a solid Korean BBQ spot near Sinjung-dong Station!

Meat cooking alongside minari

It was cooking up beautifully, and since the set comes with minari (water dropwort) too, you get a nice fragrant note added while you eat.

₩5,000 doenjang jjigae on its own stew grill

Doenjang jjigae ₩5,000 — it would've felt incomplete without a stew, so I ordered one, and here's the point that really won me over. At most BBQ places there's just one burner per table, so to heat up the stew you either have to move the meat pan aside or the stew just cools down over time — but here there's a separate stew-only grill, so we could eat it warm the whole time.

On top of that it had tofu, onion, peppers and more mixed in, with that hearty, authentic doenjang jjigae flavor — even better than expected.

We ordered a bowl of rice too and shared it well. Got plenty of tofu in, which is great for you, and lately I've been thinking doenjang jjigae actually goes better with meat than kimchi jjigae — anyone else feel that?

I also tried the meat once it browned nicely — no gamey smell at all, and it was delicious. Not overly fatty either, just the right ratio, so I thought, man, if I'd come at dinner instead of during the day I would've been drinking hard haha.

You can eat as much lettuce as you want too, so I wrapped it up with peppers. The sauce was amazing.

Adding an extra order of pork jowl

After eating for a while, we added an order of pork jowl too — pork jowl has been so good lately. The first time I ate it I thought, this looks like fat, what's the appeal — but yeah, there's always a reason people love certain cuts.

And the scallion shreds and kimchi that came with it made a great combo — even better paired together.

Why it suits company dinners, and how many the set feeds

With prices these days, a BBQ place where you can drink soju and beer for ₩1,500 is bound to be a hit for company dinners. No matter how much you drink, there's no burden on the drink bill!

The set is obviously too much for two people; for three it might be a bit much, and if you're light eaters it could stretch to four. There's a restroom inside too, which is convenient.

Gogi Gubneun Bangatgan Sinjung-dong Station Branch, a Korean BBQ spot near Sinjung-dong Station, was satisfying — generous portions and a good variety with pork belly, pork neck, pork jowl, and smoked makchang. Being able to grill minari alongside the meat, and having a separate grill for meat and stew so you can simmer the doenjang jjigae at the same time, was especially convenient. Recommended for company dinners or family gatherings!
