A great opportunity came up today, so I went on a little outing to Pocheon with my family! I was trying to decide where to go and ended up at From Italy's Gomo-ri main branch, which already had quite a buzz — and it was even better than expected, so I'm writing this review right away.

I could totally see why everyone calls this place a must-visit restaurant near Gwangneung Arboretum and one of the best pasta spots in Gomo-ri once I came here myself~

Parking and first impressions — a European-style exterior with a Blue Ribbon mark
The moment we arrived by car, there was a wide-open parking lot, so parking wasn't a worry at all. Getting out of the car, the exotic, stylish European-style exterior caught my eye right away, and the Blue Ribbon mark by the entrance made me even more excited.
Plus, the staff were incredibly kind, which put me in a good mood the moment we walked in. I thought there was only the first floor, but there was a spacious second floor too — the whole place had a cozy yet upscale atmosphere, making From Italy's Gomo-ri branch perfect for a romantic date as well.
What's the vibe like on the 1st and 2nd floors?
The first floor of From Italy Pocheon felt like a luxurious European space glittering with chandeliers~ Antique candlesticks, fine art, and ornate furniture all came together to make it feel like stepping into a noble's mansion!

After ordering, my child and I went upstairs to look around! The second floor had classic framed paintings, heavy antique furniture, and elegant curtains that together created a romantic, old-world atmosphere like a European noble's parlor!
It's a great space to enjoy a cozy meal while taking in the wide-open green view outside the window!

Green grape ade and house-made pickles
Green grape ade (₩7,000) — this didn't taste like artificial syrup at all, it was a flavor I kept craving again! Both my husband and I were enjoying it a lot, but our kids ended up stealing it, so we didn't get to finish much haha (seriously, I highly recommend this ade)

The crisp, sweet-and-sour house-made pickles that came with it also did a great job of whetting our appetite!

Here's the menu board in case it's helpful!

14-hour-aged pre-meal bread
Once we sat down and finished ordering, the pre-meal bread came out — and this thing is seriously something else! Apparently it's aged for a full 14 hours before baking!! I was amazed that they put so much care even into something as simple as the bread that comes before the meal! Taking a bite, the outside was crispy and the inside was so chewy that the kids devoured it in no time.
We carefully picked out menu items that would be good to eat together with the kids.

Gebawi pasta — switched to non-spicy
Gebawi pasta (₩29,000) — the signature main dish that makes this place famous as a Gomo-ri pasta spot can thankfully be made non-spicy, so we ordered it for the kids.

The unique look catches your eye right away, and the thick, rich cream sauce meant the kids ate it really well.

My husband diligently cutting up the gonggalppang (hollow puffed bread) — good job, honey :D
This pasta was so savory and delicious, but since we ordered it for the kids, my husband and I each only got a bite lol Next time we come just the two of us, I want to order this pasta again~!

How spicy is the Shanghai pasta?
Shanghai pasta (₩28,000) — the adults had the hot and spicy Shanghai pasta, loaded with seafood and a rich broth that completely cut through the richness of the pizza!
The Shanghai pasta is a little spicy, but even my husband, who can't handle spicy food well, ate it just fine, so it's worth trying even if you're not great with spice~ It was so delicious that we scraped up every last bit of the broth!!

Half-and-half pizza — blueberry + margherita
Half-and-half pizza (₩34,000) — we ordered it half blueberry, half margherita. My husband and I enjoyed the margherita side, and the sweet-and-tangy blueberry pizza went down really well with the kids!

Baby dishware and a high chair
Our little one eating so eagerly! When you have kids, you always end up checking whether a restaurant has baby dishware or a high chair, right? From Italy's Gomo-ri branch had both baby dishware and a high chair ready, so I could eat with real peace of mind as a mom. The food is amazing, and with this kind of thoughtful attention to detail too, I completely understood why it's such a famous pasta spot in Gomo-ri!

+ My husband, who really worked hard and didn't leave a single piece of the pre-meal bread behind~ Well done, well done ♥

The rear outdoor terrace space
After finishing a delicious meal, we went out to the outdoor space at the back of the restaurant. There's a prettily decorated terrace where you can sit, relax for a bit, and enjoy coffee — it was so nice! It was a shame we couldn't stay long because of the heat, but I think coming back for a cup of coffee when it's cooler would be absolutely perfect.

There's also a famous arboretum nearby, so if you're looking for a good restaurant near Gwangneung Arboretum to stop by while out for a drive, definitely visit From Italy's Gomo-ri branch, where delicious food and a gorgeous atmosphere await. It was a happy time spent at this wonderful restaurant near Gwangneung Arboretum and beloved Gomo-ri pasta spot that made our day complete!
