With the weather so nice lately, so many people are heading out to Pocheon for a drive or a round of golf, right?

I too took a trip out near Hanlim Kwangneung CC after a while and stopped by Brothers Yangpyeong Haejangguk Naechon Branch, which has quite the word-of-mouth reputation as a Pocheon Naechon must-visit.

How close is it to Hanlim Kwangneung CC and Kwangneung Arboretum?
This place sits right next to major Pocheon attractions and golf courses like Hanlim Kwangneung CC, Kwangneung Arboretum, Gomori, and Seoun Park, so accessibility is really great. It's a perfect spot to grab a hearty breakfast or lunch whether you're out on a Pocheon drive or heading to or from Hanlim Kwangneung CC.

Parking and the restaurant's vibe
For anyone driving, parking is the most important thing! There are very large lots both in front of and behind the restaurant, so I could visit without any parking worries at all. The exterior already looked clean, and stepping inside, the spacious, pleasant atmosphere made for a comfortable meal.

What did I order?
That day I ordered the restaurant's signature nourishing hangover soup along with a hefty giant pork cutlet.

Before the main dishes arrived, I tried the side dishes — kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) and kimchi. As expected from a well-loved spot, even the kimchi had exceptional depth of flavor, pairing perfectly with the hangover soup.

The taste of hanwoo beef hangover soup
Finally, the hanwoo beef hangover soup, intestine soup, and pork cutlet I'd been waiting for arrived.
First, the hanwoo beef hangover soup had an appealing texture — quality hanwoo (Korean beef) that was clean-tasting and tender to chew. Generous, fresh chunks of beef and ugeoji (dried napa cabbage leaves) went in without holding back, so the broth was deeply infused with the beef's inherent savoriness and sweetness. It's a perfect menu for those who can't handle spicy food or prefer a clean, light flavor. I heard Brothers Yangpyeong Haejangguk boils its own intestines and blood sausage in-house. Maybe that's why there was absolutely no off-putting smell, and the intestines had a texture that was wonderfully soft yet chewy.
Intestine soup loaded with perilla powder
The intestine soup impressed me with its chewy, tender intestine flavor. Since they boil the intestines in-house, there was no gaminess or off-smell at all — very fresh. Adding a generous amount of the perilla powder set on the table made the already rich broth explode with nuttiness, deepening the flavor even further! The chewy texture of the intestines combined with the nutty, spicy broth to leave me feeling really full and satisfied.

Both dishes are built on a deep, rich beef bone broth enhanced with black garlic, so there was no heaviness — just a clean, satisfying finish. Being able to choose between the clean hanwoo beef hangover soup and the nutty, perilla-loaded intestine soup depending on your mood made it all the more satisfying!

Giant pork cutlet is great for family visits
And the giant pork cutlet I ordered alongside was also quite the treat! The cutlet was much bigger than a palm, topped generously with a sweet, savory sauce — a great option for people who don't do well with hangover soup, or for family visits.

Is there a dessert corner too?
On my way out after the meal, there was a well-stocked dessert corner too. I could freely enjoy a cool, sweet misugaru slushie and hot coffee, rounding off a clean and satisfying meal.

Near the golf course, they even sell recycled golf balls
After finishing my meal, I looked around the restaurant and noticed thoughtful, fun touches for customers everywhere. Being close to the golf course, they sell recycled golf balls (₩10,000) in one corner of the store! It's a clever setup — you can stop by for a hearty meal before heading to Hanlim Kwangneung CC or a nearby golf course, and grab any golf balls you forgot at the same time.

They also sell nostalgic ppeongtwigi (puffed rice snacks, ₩2,000), and if you participate in the Naver receipt review event, you can get a small perk of one free drink. On top of that, for people missing the taste of Brothers Yangpyeong Haejangguk, they offer nationwide delivery, so you can enjoy that deep broth flavor at home too!

If you're planning a trip to Pocheon, or thinking about where to go before or after a round at Hanlim Kwangneung CC, or looking for a family meal spot, definitely stop by! You'll become a regular after falling for the tenderness of the in-house boiled intestines and the deep black garlic beef bone broth.
