Ttukseom Station date restaurant: sous vide steak & aligot, Brivite
In short
Brivite Seongsu is a European-style Western restaurant in Seongdong, Seoul, a 2–3 minute walk from Ttukseom Station. On a date, the signature Brivite Steak (35,900 won) and a Greek yogurt salad (9,900 won) made a great combination: aligot cheese poured over the steak by staff, sous vide top blade steak and a refreshing salad. For a Seongsu date when you want something more unusual than a standard steak, Brivite Seongsu is a good fit.

I was looking for a good Western restaurant for a date in Seongsu and ended up at Brivite Seongsu. It has a different feel from your usual pasta place: a space with a European vibe and some distinctive Brivite dishes. The Brivite Steak, with its long stretchy cheese, is fun just to watch, so it suited a date perfectly. You can also find more about Brivite on its official website and on Catchtable.

Getting there from Ttukseom Station and the atmosphere
Brivite Seongsu is only a 2-3 minute walk from Ttukseom Station, so it wasn't hard to find.

From outside, the pink sign and ivory facade stand out. It's a pretty building that fits the Seongsu vibe nicely.

There's a waiting-list kiosk at the entrance, and waiting customers get notified via KakaoTalk, which was handy.

Inside, the wood-tone interior and warm lighting made it feel cozy.
Two-person and four-person tables are well balanced, and the tables aren't cramped, so it looked good for a date as well as for a meal with friends.
The walls are decorated with vintage frames and small props, which give it a European restaurant feel.
At the self-serve bar, water and small plates are neatly set out, so you can help yourself to what you need.
What we ordered at Brivite Seongsu and the prices

The Brivite Steak is said to be the signature dish at Brivite Seongsu, so I had to order it!
What does the Greek yogurt salad taste like?
The Greek yogurt salad (₩9,900) is a fresh salad with cherry tomatoes, basil, beetroot and Greek yogurt, and it went well with the steak. It came out first, and the colors were gorgeous right away.

Cherry tomatoes, basil, beetroot and Greek yogurt were served together, and the plating was neat, so it was great for photos.

The tomatoes were fresh and the basil aroma came through softly, so the fresh taste really stood out.

The thick Greek yogurt added a smooth, nutty richness, and it's the perfect side for a main dish, so it was easy to enjoy without feeling heavy.

Eating it with the meat left my mouth feeling clean and refreshed, so I recommend ordering it together.

The aligot cheese waterfall on the Brivite Steak
The Brivite Steak (₩35,900) comes with sous vide flank steak (budchaesal), grilled vegetables and pastry in a red wine sauce, and a staff member pours aligot cheese on top at the table. After a short wait, today's main, the Brivite Steak, arrived.

The first thing that caught my eye was the long, stretchy aligot cheese.
The staff member poured the cheese slowly, and "cheese waterfall" really is the perfect description!

Aligot is a cheese that originates in southern France, and it's said to get its chewy texture from using mozzarella together with mashed potatoes.

Sous vide flank steak and grilled vegetables
The Brivite Steak comes with sous vide flank steak and a variety of grilled vegetables over a red wine sauce base, so it was fun to pick and choose bites.

The flank steak was juicy inside and nicely seared outside, with a good texture. It wasn't tough and chewed up tender.
Eating it with the aligot cheese on top added richness and made the flavor much deeper.
The grilled mushrooms, garlic and green onion each kept their own texture, so they were great as sides, and the red wine sauce wasn't heavy but soaked in subtly, which suited the steak well.
The pastry served alongside was crisp outside with visible layers inside, and I could taste the butter. Eating it with the cheese had a different charm.

If you usually look for something a bit different from a standard steak, I think you'll be very satisfied.
How was Brivite Seongsu as a Western restaurant for a Seongsu date?
If you're looking for a Western restaurant with a good atmosphere in Seongsu, Brivite Seongsu was a very satisfying place. The cozy, European-style interior made it great for a date, and I was impressed that you can enjoy a dish like the Brivite Steak that's hard to find elsewhere.
It paired well with the fresh Greek yogurt salad, and the staff were kind, so I could eat comfortably. If you're after a Seongsu date, a Western restaurant with a good mood, or a slightly special steak, it's worth a visit.
