Gapyeong dakgalbi with cheese fondue by Nami Island pier: Anbanji
In short
Namiseom Anbanji Dakgalbi is a charcoal-grilled dakgalbi (spicy grilled chicken) restaurant right in front of the Nami Island ferry terminal in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi, and a Blue Ribbon pick. At a window table facing Nami Island, the writer ordered seasoned charcoal dakgalbi for two with cheese fondue and buckwheat mak guksu (cold buckwheat noodles), and the ventilation was good enough that a charcoal grill left barely any smoke. Putting your name on the Tabling app waitlist in advance keeps the wait short, so Namiseom Anbanji Dakgalbi works well as a meal stop on a Gapyeong day trip.

Today I'm sharing a review of Namiseom Anbanji Dakgalbi, a Blue Ribbon-selected charcoal dakgalbi restaurant I stopped by during a Gapyeong trip.
Where is Namiseom Anbanji Dakgalbi, and what are its hours?

🏡 Address: 1061 Bukhangang-byeonro, Gapyeong-eup, Gyeonggi-do ⏰ Hours: 10:00–18:00 (weekdays) / 09:30–20:30 (weekends)
Anbanji Dakgalbi, a famous dakgalbi spot in Gapyeong, sits right in front of the Nami Island ferry terminal, so it's a great place to eat before or after visiting the island. The exterior is clean and the space is quite large, so it seemed popular for family gatherings and group meetups too.
Where do you park at Anbanji Dakgalbi?
🚗 Parking: Free lot at the restaurant

There's a spacious parking lot right in front of the restaurant, which made driving there really convenient.

Joining the Tabling app waitlist and the gallery-like waiting room
Anbanji, a well-known dakgalbi spot near Nami Island in Gapyeong, is so popular that it has a dedicated waiting room. Inside is a Tabling waitlist kiosk where you can register once you arrive. The pro tip is to join the wait through the Tabling app before you even get there, then register at the kiosk on arrival — it cuts down your waiting time quite a bit, haha.

What impressed me most was that the waiting room isn't just a row of chairs — it's decorated beautifully, almost like a gallery. Artworks are displayed throughout, and there are comfortable seats to wait in, so the time really didn't feel like it dragged.

Inside Anbanji Dakgalbi and its amenities for families with kids
This is the inside of Anbanji, the go-to dakgalbi spot here. It's spacious and comfortable overall, easily accommodating group tourists, and even though it's a charcoal-grill restaurant, the ventilation was excellent — I really appreciated how little smoke there was.

On one side of Anbanji Dakgalbi, near Nami Island, there were kids' chairs available, so visiting with young children was worry-free, and aprons were provided too for easy dining.

There was also a separate self-serve bar. Being able to grab whatever side dishes I needed myself, without asking staff, was convenient.

The basic side dishes were neatly set out too — pickled radish wraps, lettuce wraps, bean sprouts, pickled cabbage, and other things that go well with dakgalbi.

What is on the Anbanji Dakgalbi menu?
Here's the menu board at Anbanji, the well-known Nami Island spot.
- Original salt-grilled charcoal dakgalbi
- Handmade seasoned charcoal dakgalbi
Centered on the two main charcoal dakgalbi options, there was a range of side dishes prepared to pair well with dakgalbi.

Seasoned charcoal dakgalbi for two with cheese fondue at a Nami Island window seat
🍽️ Seasoned charcoal dakgalbi + cheese fondue I ordered the seasoned charcoal dakgalbi for two plus cheese fondue. It looked appetizing just from the presentation, and dakgalbi grilled over charcoal paired with cheese seemed like it would be delicious.

Our seats were by the window with a view of Nami Island, which really made it feel like a proper Gapyeong trip.
Watching the dakgalbi sizzle away on the charcoal made my mouth water just from the smell. The chicken was evenly coated in seasoning, so it looked more and more appetizing as it cooked. My tip for grilling charcoal dakgalbi well: cut it into bite-sized pieces as it cooks and flip it often so it doesn't burn.

Dipping the well-cooked charcoal dakgalbi into the cheese fondue was great — the savory, smooth cheese paired really well with the seasoned chicken.

Adding buckwheat mak guksu to the grill
🍽️ Buckwheat mak guksu Mak guksu (buckwheat noodles) is a must alongside dakgalbi, so I ordered that too.

Taking a bite of mak guksu between bites of dakgalbi cleansed the palate nicely, and since it's made with buckwheat, it also felt easier on the stomach.

That was my honest review after eating charcoal dakgalbi at Anbanji, the dakgalbi spot near Nami Island in Gapyeong :) Beyond how good the dakgalbi tasted, being right in front of Nami Island meant I could enjoy the view while eating, which made it a great stop on a Gapyeong trip.
