Today I'm sharing an honest review from my visit to Raccoon Pizza Mapo Station branch, a pizza-and-beer spot known for its cheese waterfall pizza, which is all the rage right now :)

Raccoon Pizza, a favorite Mapo date spot, has its own dedicated parking lot, so we drove and parking was easy. When the lot next to the store fills up, it seems like a lot of people park along the street in front of the store once evening hits!!

Inside Raccoon Pizza: an American retro pizza-and-beer space

This is the interior of Raccoon Pizza, a pizza restaurant near Mapo Station. It has that distinct American retro vibe you get at pizza places, so it felt less like somewhere you just eat pizza and leave, and more like a space where you enjoy the atmosphere too :)

The lighting and interior at Raccoon Pizza Mapo Station branch are stylish, so plenty of people were there in the evening enjoying pizza and beer. Even though we visited on a weekday evening, the dining room was already busy!

What's at the free self-bar?

Inside Raccoon Pizza there was a self-bar set up too. Pickles, jalapeños, garlic sauce, condensed milk sauce, ketchup — all the things you can't do without when eating pizza — were free to use as much as you want if you're dining in the hall ✨ I especially love dipping my pizza in sauces, so I really loved having a self-bar like this haha.

We didn't want to settle for just one pizza at Raccoon Pizza, so we ordered a half-and-half regular size plus a pasta set, and added a cheese crust to the pizza dough :)

This is the half-and-half of Raccoon Cheese Waterfall Pizza and Double Pepperoni Pizza, the signature menu items of Raccoon Pizza near Mapo Station. It looked so appetizing right from the visual, packed with cheese just from looking at it, which got me excited :)

When I lifted up one slice, the cheese really stretched out sooo~~~~ long ✨

At Raccoon Pizza Mapo Station branch, not just the Cheese Waterfall pizza but other pizzas like the Double Pepperoni are generally loaded with a ton of cheese too, so anyone who loves cheese is bound to love it. I was curious how far the cheese would stretch, so I kept lifting it up as I ate haha >_<

How does the pizza taste dipped in condensed milk sauce?

I also tried the sauces I grabbed from the self-bar. I'm someone who always orders garlic sauce when eating pizza, so I already knew garlic sauce and pizza was a good combo, but I'd heard that dipping the crust ends of the Raccoon Cheese Waterfall Pizza in condensed milk sauce is delicious, so I tried it — and the salty crust plus sweet condensed milk sauce made for a really good sweet-and-salty combination. If you're ordering at Raccoon Pizza, I definitely recommend the condensed milk sauce!!✨

Favorite Toowoomba Pasta

The Favorite Toowoomba Pasta we ordered as part of the set had a thick, creamy Toowoomba sauce that blended well with the noodles, and it went really well eaten alongside the pizza.

Best of all, there was quite a lot of shrimp in it. If we'd only ordered one regular pizza it might have felt a bit lacking, but ordering the pasta alongside made for a hearty dinner :)

Raccoon Pizza uses dough made and aged in-house, so the pizza itself tasted great, and the visual of the cheese stretching endlessly was satisfying too.
