I went looking for a café near Gangnam Station open late, and ended up at Selected Nicks! The vibe was great and every floor had a different concept, so it was fun just exploring.

- 🅿️ Parking: available! Uses a dedicated parking tower. There are vehicle size restrictions, so I'd recommend checking with the store before visiting. SUVs, compact cars, tall-bodied vehicles, and large sedans may have trouble parking, just FYI!
Selected Nicks is less than a 5-minute walk from Gangnam Station, so the accessibility was really good! It's right next to Gangnam Daesung Academy, so it was easy to find even on my first visit, and the exterior felt totally different from your typical small Gangnam café. Since nearly every floor is part of the same large café, it's a big advantage being able to pick a seat that fits your taste even in busy Gangnam!
Ordering on the 1st floor and the tiramisu showcase
You order on the 1st floor first! The showcase had all kinds of tiramisu and desserts, so I spent ages deciding — every single one looked gorgeous. There were classic tiramisu, strawberry, banana, choco-banana, and pistachio options, so if you love tiramisu, you'd be losing your mind here too!
How much is the 2-person set? 24,800 won in total
After deliberating, I ordered the 2-person set! It's 1 tiramisu + 1 dessert + 2 drinks for a base price of 22,300 won, and with the 2,000 won upgrade to strawberry tiramisu and a 500 won option add-on, I paid 24,800 won total. Two people get a drink each plus two desserts, so considering Gangnam prices, I thought the composition was pretty good!
So the final order was: strawberry tiramisu + decaf iced americano + vitamin yuzu + choco madeleine!
It was fun picking items from the set menu, and it felt more filling than ordering everything separately, so I was satisfied! Above all, I liked that the wide drink selection meant even picking a pricier drink didn't feel like too much of a splurge.
The 1st-floor terrace and midnight closing on weekdays
There was also terrace seating off to the side on the 1st floor. It looked great for getting a little air with your coffee when the inside felt stuffy, and since the vibe changes floor by floor, exploring the seats was genuinely fun haha.
It's open until midnight on weekdays and 11:30pm on weekends, so it's great for anyone looking for a late-night café. It's not 24 hours, but staying open until midnight on weekdays is genuinely rare around Gangnam Station.
2nd-floor gallery and spacious 3rd-floor seating
The 2nd floor doubles as a gallery, with artwork displayed all over! The bright white atmosphere with colorful pieces as accents made it fun to look around, and just sitting there made me feel good.
The 3rd floor had a lot of spacious seating for groups. It was bright and open with no cramped feeling, and looked great for chatting with friends or holding a gathering!
8th-floor study space for laptop work and group projects
The 8th floor is set up almost like a study room! It's open weekdays from 5pm to midnight, and weekends from 11am to 11:30pm.
The table spacing wasn't as cramped as I expected, and there were seats big enough for groups, so I thought it'd work well for group projects or study sessions. It's honestly hard to find a good spot for group work or studying in Gangnam, but this place is exactly it!
The studying atmosphere was clearly set, so it looked good for working solo on a laptop or focusing quietly too! If you're an office worker or student near Gangnam Station looking for a place to work with a coffee, head straight to the 8th floor!
Rooftop night views and how the strawberry tiramisu tasted
I went up to the rooftop floor and wow... it was genuinely stunning! Being able to enjoy a café with Gangnam's buildings all in view like that... the breeze was cool and the night view was gorgeous, so just sitting there made me feel great. It really feels rare to have a large café like this right in the middle of Gangnam ㅠㅜ
The strawberry tiramisu had soft cream and tangy strawberries, which paired perfectly with the decaf iced americano!
Adding the choco madeleine completed the sweet combo haha. Since it's open until midnight on weekdays, it's also great for finding a late-night café in Gangnam — I fully recommend it if you're looking for a large Gangnam Station café or a Gangnam study café! Next time I want to come during the day and enjoy the different atmosphere on each floor again.
