Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch has an overall clean, bright vibe. It's exactly the kind of place for a weekend brunch date. While eating brunch here I noticed a lot of foreign visitors too?! I'm always amazed at how people find a hidden gem tucked away in an alley like this haha

How do you order at Famous Benny?

When you arrive, staff hand you a menu, so you sit down first and then choose what to order!! I think I've tried almost every item on the menu at this point but it's all delicious!! Next time I need to try more of the drinks~ Whenever I come to Famous Benny I always end up ordering only brunch items, so I've barely tried any drinks haha

1st-floor and 2nd-floor seating

There's also seating on the 1st floor of Famous Benny. The 1st floor is a cozy-sized hall!!

I went up to the 2nd floor. Famous Benny has both a 1st and 2nd floor!! Even on the 2nd floor, staff bring the food to you, and once you're done eating you can just leave the plates as they are, which is nice!!

The four dishes two people ordered

Today we ordered avocado toast and smoked salmon toast. We decided to try something other than what we'd already had before haha, so we went with avocado toast and smoked salmon toast. We also ordered a yogurt bowl and an acai bowl.

Avocado toast, 16,000 won

Avocado toast, ₩16,000. Honestly I didn't expect much from the avocado toast, but it ended up being the #1 dish of the day. They pile a huge amount of avocado on top, and the smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture was so good. Eating it with the light, fresh vegetables made it even better!!

There's a bit of pickled onion(?) on top, and it's honestly the charm point! On top of the clean, light avocado toast, that hint of sweet-and-sour flavor is delicious!! Smoked salmon toast, 17,000 won

Smoked salmon toast, ₩17,000. The combination of sauce and smoked salmon here is so good. Honestly, this combo could hardly go wrong!!

They top the smoked salmon toast with a soft-boiled egg — a bit of the yolk on the bread, eaten together with the vegetables and smoked salmon, gives the whole thing amazing flavor ~ ♥

Yogurt bowl, 7,000 won

Yogurt bowl, ₩7,000. I'm someone who's crazy about yogurt, and this one has no sourness — topped with granola, banana, and berries, it's just delicious!!

Acai bowl, 9,000 won

Acai bowl, ₩9,000. Whenever I come to Famous Benny I always order the acai bowl without fail~~ Everyone, you have to order the acai bowl. It's tangy and sweet, piled generously with fresh banana, berries, granola, and peanut butter — the combo of fresh fruit and sweet granola is really delicious!!

I got so hooked on the acai bowl at Famous Benny that I went to Costco and bought acai bowls to make at home haha. But making it at home is nowhere near as good as eating it at Famous Benny!!

Famous Benny, located in Gwangalli!? It's within a 5-minute walk from Gwangalli Beach. If you visit Gwangalli and want brunch during the day, I recommend Famous Benny. Every dish is delicious, there isn't a single miss!! The ingredients are fresh and everything is clean and light, so if you go with two people, order four dishes. It's so good you'll finish it all haha
