Flour here, traveling in Busan. If you're in Busan, you've got to eat sashimi at least once!!

I went to a great sashimi restaurant near Busan Station, and it turned out to be a spot locals actually go to. So I ate a ton, no rip-off pricing at all.

Parking and reservations at Ppong Sashimi: street parking free after 6pm
- Parking available (street lot out front)
- Reservations available
- Groups welcome
There's a street public parking lot right in front, so I parked there — and after 6pm they don't charge parking fees, so I parked for free.
Walking in, there were a huge number of autographs on the wall, so it seems like a lot of celebrities have visited. If you're looking for a Busan sashimi restaurant near Busan Station with tons of celebrity autographs, go to Ppong Sashimi.

Does Ppong Sashimi have private rooms?
Ppong Sashimi is all private rooms, which made it even better. A great spot to enjoy privately and independently.
There's a menu inside — today we're trying the assorted sashimi course B at ₩60,000 per person. It comes with appetizer + sashimi + seafood set + fried dish + fish roe rice + soup. It comes out in a huge quantity.
Since we'd made a reservation, the basic setup was already in place when we walked in. Salad, soy sauce, vinegared gochujang, wasabi — everything you need to eat with sashimi was all ready.
And there's tissue and a utensil holder on one side, and it's nice that they're up on a shelf rather than on the table itself.

Ppong Sashimi menu and course prices
Take a look at the menu. There's sushi and add-on items too. Prices are pretty affordable, right?

And they have sake too.

Assorted sashimi B is 60.0 (per person), beer 6.0, drinks 2.0. We ordered the assorted sashimi course for two at ₩120,000 plus a beer and a soft drink.
How the course starts: abalone porridge, seaweed soup, salad
They bring out abalone porridge and seaweed soup — the porridge was rich and the seaweed soup was genuinely deep-flavored.

The salad was really tasty too. A generous portion with a delicious oriental dressing — I finished the whole plate, believe it or not.

Then a seafood plate followed, packed with squid with taco-wasabi, marinated shrimp, sea squirt, and more delicious seafood.
The sashimi spread: 6 pieces of sushi, tuna tartare, garlic scape pickle
Sashimi came out right away. Looks amazing, right? Next to the sashimi came sushi too — shrimp, flounder, and salmon sushi, 6 pieces.

There's tuna too. Tuna tartare — delicious and refreshing.

And here's the garlic scape pickle (마늘쫑 장아찌). The owner told us it's great with the sashimi, so we ate them together and it was really delicious.

There was also baek-kimchi (white kimchi), which is super refreshing to eat in between bites of sashimi.

And delicious sea bream, flounder, salmon. It's a whole plate of fish I love, so I'm super happy.

With sashimi and seafood piled up in front of me, I feel like I could float away with happiness.

And this isn't the end — a lot more keeps coming.
First, beer and cola, cheers~!! Sashimi with beer is just too good.
How is the seafood? Abalone, conch, torch-seared squid
This really is a solid Japanese restaurant near Busan Station and Nampo-dong / Jungang-dong Station — not just the sashimi, everything else is delicious too.

The seafood was super fresh and not too salty, so it was easy to eat. I slurped it down feeling the ocean scent. I had no idea there was such a delicious sashimi restaurant near Busan Station.
The abalone was really fresh too. Chewy and crunchy, and the conch was great dipped in the vinegared gochujang. There was sesame in the sauce, adding a nutty flavor.

The squid came slightly torch-seared, which made it even more delicious. Even I, who normally doesn't eat squid, enjoyed it here.
Aged sashimi with garlic scape pickle: how the pairing tastes
And finally, the sashimi. Delicious sashimi, real happiness. I love this so much. Sea bream dipped in wasabi and soy sauce is so good. Sashimi really is best dipped in soy sauce.

It seemed to be aged sashimi — really chewy with great aroma.
And in the middle, meat came out too. Oh, it's not just sashimi — there's meat too.

The meat was really delicious. Like cold boiled pork (naengsuyuk). Sipping the seaweed soup in between and having another piece of sashimi — the sashimi is thick-cut, so the chew is really satisfying.
Glistening, oily sashimi.

There's no way this cut could be anything but delicious.

The owner suggested eating it with garlic scape pickle, and wow, it really goes well together. The garlic scape aroma isn't too strong and has a great texture, so it matched the sashimi both in texture and flavor.
And I had a piece of salmon sushi too. Delicious,,, the best, the best

Tuna seaweed wraps, grilled sea bream head and cheese-grilled scallops
I thought the sashimi was done, but then tuna came out? Tuna with seaweed, done properly. Tuna, seaweed, radish sprouts, and sesame oil, all together.

Ate it properly. Incredible flavor.
I was already so full, but more came out. Grilled sea bream head and a fried shrimp nabe (hot pot).

So so good. Hot and satisfying — I'm a huge fan of hot dishes, so I'm happy.

And the grilled head had so much meat on it. And wait, cheese-grilled scallops too? This course is seriously loaded. So delicious. Came to Busan and really ate my fill of sashimi.
Curry powder came alongside, which was great for dipping too, and we ordered one more beer. Slurp.
Scallops piled high with cheese too. Ah, so good. A place where you can enjoy sashimi, shellfish, and meat all at once.
Finishing the course with fish roe rice and soup
The finale is fish roe rice and soup!! This was seriously delicious, a Japanese restaurant near Nampo-dong / Jungang-dong Station and Busan Station — if you're looking for a great sashimi restaurant near Busan Station, go to Ppong Sashimi.
