Cheonho Station hair salon layered perm and fringe perm: Juno Hair

Hi :) It's Minggyo from the Mingming couple. I have a company workshop next week so I figured it was time to finally do something with my hair! Come to think of it, it's been almost 6 months since I last went to a salon...?! Between giving birth and taking care of my baby, I just let my hair grow out and grow out, until I was basically a full-on caveman ㅠㅠ

Cutting to the conclusion... it was so worth the trip!! It's a bit of a distance from where I live, but my younger sibling who lives near Cheonho recommended this salon hard. So here's my real review of Designer Chaerim~~!

The person who did my hair this time was Head Designer Chaerim at Juno Hair Cheonho Rodeo Branch. I wanted a layered perm, and it just so happened that the designer my friend enthusiastically recommended was exactly Chaerim...! This is fate~~~ I thought, and booked right away. In person she was even prettier than her photos, and best of all, her consultation was so kind and thorough.

Before: long, grown-out hair six months after giving birth

My hair had gotten really long, and since I hadn't been to a salon in ages while just staying home with the baby, it felt totally unmanaged! With a return to work coming up after a year and a half, plus the upcoming workshop, I looked into getting a perm again after a long time.

But there was one thing I really wanted: hair that's easy to style, no matter what!! Once I go back to work, mornings will be tight between getting the baby ready for daycare and doing my own hair, so I wanted a perm where the style would come alive just from air-drying. After a lot of thought about which style to go with, I ended up at Juno Hair Cheonho Rodeo Branch this time!

My sibling recommended it enthusiastically, and since it had been so long since my last perm, I wanted to go somewhere really good, so I went even though it was a bit of a distance.

• Cheonho underground parking lot supports up to 3 hours free — they said using the entrance near sections A19, A20, B19, B20, C19, C20 lets you exit closer to the salon :)
• Rodeo Palace parking supports up to 3 hours free — it's mechanical parking, so EVs and large vehicles will have trouble parking there, please use Cheonho public parking lot instead! (e.g. Jeep, K9, Genesis G90, S4, S5, BMW 7-Series/X5/X6, long Volvo models, Carnival, etc.)
• 📍 Rodeo Palace parking location: Rodeo Palace, 453-5 Cheonho-dong, Gangdong-gu
• Enter the Rodeo street, pass the salon, turn left at the Seven Eleven intersection, keep going straight past Gyeongsong, and you'll reach Rodeo Palace — go into the building with the barrier gate!

An entire building is Juno Hair Cheonho Rodeo Branch! It's actually pretty close on foot from Cheonho Station too. The price list was also posted clearly like this, which made me trust the place even more!

What the Cheonho Rodeo salon looks like inside

Once inside, the interior had a somewhat urban feel and was really spacious and clean! Best of all there were multiple floors, lots of designers, and the seats were spaced far apart, so I could get my hair done comfortably without feeling crowded.

When I told her the style I wanted, she didn't just listen to what I said — she also looked at my hair's condition and how I usually style it, and talked through which style would actually suit me. So during the consultation, my idea of what I wanted got clearer and clearer!

How the layered perm, fringe perm and clinic treatment went

What I chose was a layered perm! I went for a style that kept the light, airy feel of a layered cut while adding natural-looking curl.

Slowly evolving from primitive caveman mode into a city person...? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ She also curled my fringe separately, and I love it so, so much! Even without a flat iron, the fringe naturally parts beautifully — absolute perfection for someone with clumsy hands like me 👍🏻

After: soft curls and a silhouette that falls into place

First, here's my after photo of officially becoming human again!!! With a layered perm, if the curl is too intense it can look like a lot, but the style I got falls naturally and shapes the whole silhouette beautifully, which I loved even more.

How do you style a layered perm at home?

And the thing I cared about most — easy styling — was totally satisfying too! I got home and dried it myself, and it was so much simpler than I expected. First dry the scalp well, then dry the hair lightly in the direction of the strands, and finish by rolling the curls around your fingers as you dry. Even after it's fully dry, if you loosely twist it in the direction of the curl, the curl naturally comes back to life over time.

I don't have to spend time styling my hair in the morning, and the curl naturally comes alive even without a flat iron — it's honestly so convenient!! To all the parents out there, I highly recommend a layered perm at Juno Hair Cheonho Rodeo Branch~!

Designer Chaerim's hands were super fast, but she still did the treatment carefully, which I really liked. Depending on the designer, even if the cut looks pretty, if it's hard to style you end up crying at home — but since this one is easy to style too, it's honestly the hair I've liked the most since giving birth ㅠㅠ💗

After doing my hair nicely for the first time in ages, it seriously refreshed my mood too haha. I went on vacation, dried my hair casually, and took some photos — and it came out looking so feminine!

I love this hair so much that I think I'll come back here next time I get my hair done. If you're getting a perm after a long break like me, or you're tired of using a flat iron every day and want an easy-to-style perm, I think it's worth booking a consultation for a layered perm here!
