What banchan does the self-serve bar offer?

One of Baengnyeon Boribap's biggest draws is being able to enjoy a variety of fresh, carefully prepared banchan (side dishes) exactly to your taste. Radish salad, stir-fried eggplant, stir-fried mushrooms, cabbage salad, and other Korean dishes are laid out buffet-style.

Young radish kimchi, braised pork and other side dishes
Bracken fern, bean sprouts, stir-fried zucchini and other namul dishes

Just looking over the neatly arranged side dishes on the wide bar makes your mouth water.

Crisp radish salad, tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce that wakes up your appetite. It's the essential ingredient that really brings out the savory flavor when mixed into barley rice.

Softly stir-fried eggplant with a wonderfully nutty flavor. Seasoned just right, it's the kind of side dish you keep reaching for.

Fresh stir-fried mushrooms with a lively texture. Their fragrant aroma fills your mouth.

Crisp cabbage salad with a tangy-sweet, smooth dressing that refreshes the palate.

There's also plenty more — savory japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), fresh lettuce wraps, acorn jelly, young radish kimchi, braised pork in soy sauce, bracken fern, bean sprouts, stir-fried zucchini, and more — a buffet spread so generous it fills you up just to look at.

I filled a big bowl with springy barley rice, then piled on generous amounts of namul (seasoned vegetables), radish salad, mushrooms, and acorn jelly all fetched from the buffet bar. A drizzle of spicy gochujang sauce and sesame oil, mixed together, and you've got a bibimbap that's perfect both to look at and to eat.

Every big spoonful brings a wonderful burst of fresh, nutty vegetable flavor.

A rich, spicy bone soup goes great alongside the bibimbap. Simmered until the meat practically falls off the bone, it's so tender, and the deep, spicy broth warms you right up. Thanks to that bold, spicy broth, it pairs beautifully with the barley rice bibimbap.
