Cheongna eel buffet weekend lunch with grilled scallions: Jangsodam

It was such a beautiful day, and after a fun time out and about we got hungry and stopped here! We heard there was a place where you can eat eel, beef and pork all you want, so how could we not go? So excited to eat something delicious!

Where is Jangsodam Cheongna and where do you park?

Jangsodam Eel and Beef Buffet Cheongna Main Branch (장소담 청라본점) is at 10-17 Jungbong-daero 612beon-gil, Seo-gu, Incheon, on the 2nd floor of the shopping building across from Cheongna Linstrauss. It's open daily 11:00–23:00, and you park in the building's basement lot, which had quite a lot of spaces.

Weekend lunch atmosphere at Jangsodam

We arrived at weekend lunchtime and it was really crowded! Even at weekend lunch, so many guests were sitting down to enjoy eel and meat. The smell of grilling eel and meat hits you the moment you walk in! There's a self-bar in the middle of the restaurant, so you can enjoy plenty of dishes besides the grilled meat.

Does Jangsodam Cheongna have a kids' play room?

The good thing about Jangsodam Cheongna is the indoor playground for kids, which is quite spacious. Mom and Dad can eat in peace, which was great. And the play room is super clean!

Jangsodam menu: à la carte eel and A, B and C Sets

At Jangsodam you can order eel à la carte or as a set. There are A, B and C Sets, each with a different makeup, so you can grill beef and eel, or beef on its own, depending on your taste. Since it's all food you grill yourself, I think anything you order will be good!

What's at the Jangsodam self-bar?

The self-bar had everything you need for grilled meat: kimchi, wraps and sauces, all stocked up. I went right after ordering and found scallion kimchi, napa cabbage kimchi, white kimchi, chili peppers, garlic and shredded ginger, all piled high! There was also ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), salt dip and eel sauce!

Off to one side there were plenty of fresh wraps too! Grilled meat always needs fresh wraps, right?

Sundae, tofu kimchi, fresh-fried chicken and unlimited drinks

The self-bar was stocked with hot sundae (Korean blood sausage), acorn jelly, tofu kimchi, fried food, plus rice and desserts. The chicken is fried fresh as it goes, so it's so good! Drinks are unlimited too. Such a great place!

Unlimited pork belly, pork neck and chicken, and swapping grill plates

The self-bar was really packed with things to grill: pork belly, pork neck, chicken, rice cakes and more. Time to dig in properly! It's all-you-can-eat, so I can eat all this meat, which is great! Depending on what you grill, sometimes you need to change the grill plate, and if so, just ask a staff member and they'll swap it for you!

How do you order the Jangsodam B Set?

The Jangsodam B Set includes unlimited eel and beef, and that's what we ordered. For the first order, they bring the meat to the table like this; after that, you order more eel and beef by tablet and they deliver it to the table. A set of basic side dishes is laid out for you too, so you can start eating right away!

Wow... the beef and eel were really thick and hearty, perfectly prepared for grilling! The eel was even deboned, so it was easy to eat. Time for some delicious eel!

Scallions grilled with the eel are the real kick

Put the eel, pork belly and beef on the Jangsodam grill, pile on plenty of vegetables from the self-bar, and you're ready to grill! The fire is really strong and heats up fast, and the thick eel cooks quickly and looks so appetizing! We grilled scallions alongside, and the grilled scallions are the real kick! Mild and so delicious!

We grilled the eel properly and dipped it in eel sauce, then had pork belly, then beef too, and how delicious they were, with no gamey smell and no bones! It was so good we kept eating, from pork belly to pork neck to chicken, a whole lot. Topping fresh wraps with spicy scallion kimchi was seriously good!

How was the price for all-you-can-eat eel?

Eel is usually really expensive at an eel restaurant, but here at Jangsodam you can eat it all-you-can-eat! And at such a friendly price too, so hooray for Jangsodam in Cheongna! It'd be great for gatherings! We also brought back a lot of pork belly, and it was thick and so chewy and delicious when grilled.

Finishing with Jin Ramen from the Hangang ramyeon machine

We ended our Jangsodam meal at the Hangang ramyeon machine! It was my first time trying Hangang ramyeon (instant noodles cooked in a machine), and in 3 minutes you get piping hot, perfectly cooked ramyeon! We had Jin Ramen and it was so good. Finishing with clean, spicy ramyeon made my meat-stuffed stomach feel settled. Absolutely the best meal!

The owner was kind and every dish was delicious at Jangsodam in Cheongna! Enjoy eel, beef and pork with family, friends or your partner!
