Allegro is a jazz restaurant on the 3rd floor of a building near Songpanaru Station in Songpa, Seoul. Visiting with a friend during daytime, they ordered sous-vide pork steak, vongole pasta, and prosciutto potato salad, though they missed the jazz shows which run in the evening. The pasta could have used more spice but the pork was tender and juicy, making this a good pick for anniversaries or special get-togethers.
Ichigyu Seoul Station Branch is a Japanese restaurant in Jung-gu, Seoul, where diners grill gyukatsu at the table. We ordered a 39,500 won sirloin gyukatsu, hamburger-steak omurice, and two-drink set, plus 11,000 won cold soba and shrimp tempura. A filling pick for a quick meal near Seoul Station.
One Play Jamsil Branch is a multi-culture space near Sports Complex Station in Songpa, Seoul, with manga, board games, OTT, and Nintendo all under one roof. With time to kill before a baseball game, the writer booked a private room on the 2-hour-plus-drink plan, read manga, and ordered fries and sotteok sotteok (rice cake and sausage skewers). A cozy indoor date spot in Jamsil where you can lie down and read comics in comfort.
