Gwangalli brunch café, window seat & lemon peach ade: Working Holiday
In short
Working Holiday Millak is an ocean-view brunch café facing Gwangan Bridge, on the 7th floor of Bada Maru on Millaksubyeon-ro in Suyeong, Busan. For lunch on day two of a Busan trip, the writer booked ahead, sat at a window seat and ordered clam shrimp oil pasta, margherita pizza and lemon peach ade; the gently spicy pasta paired with the wood-fired pizza was satisfying. For a relaxed brunch with Gwangan Bridge in view, Working Holiday Millak is recommended.

For lunch on day two of our Busan trip, I went to Working Holiday Millak (워킹홀리데이 민락), a well-known brunch café in Gwangalli :) A relaxed brunch with a Gwangan Bridge ocean view, clam shrimp oil pasta packed with fresh seafood, and a margherita pizza with real tomato flavor. If you're looking for things to do in Gwangalli during a Busan trip, here's my story of Working Holiday Millak.
Where is Working Holiday Millak, and where do you park?
Working Holiday Millak is on the 7th floor of Bada Maru, a 4-minute walk from Millak Raw Fish Center by Gwangalli Beach and 6 minutes from Millak The Market. You can park in the underground car park behind the building; spend ₩10,000 or more and you get 1 hour covered, up to 4 hours.

It's easy to reach, so it fits perfectly into a Gwangalli itinerary. Since the parking time depends on how much you spend, if you're only having a drink I'd suggest the public car park right in front of Millak Hoe Town (₩300 per 10 minutes) :)

What are the Gwangan Bridge ocean-view interior and seating like?
Stepping inside Working Holiday Millak, the stylish interior and the panoramic Gwangan Bridge view were just stunning 🌊 The space is big and the tables are spaced generously, so it's perfect for a leisurely brunch :)

I'd recommend it for a date, a get-together with friends, or a family meal out.

The seating is varied, from comfy sofas to outdoor terrace tables, and objects dotted around give off a real mid-century modern feel.

Trendy lighting and lots of green plants: it's exactly the kind of good-vibes atmosphere I love, so if you want a vibey brunch café in Gwangalli, I recommend it :) Water is at the self-serve bar in the middle of the café.

Can you get a window seat at Working Holiday Millak if you reserve?
We booked ahead, and they gave us a window seat with Gwangan Bridge right in view, so we could enjoy the ocean view the whole brunch.

There's also an outdoor terrace, so I stepped out, and the wide-open view of Gwangan Bridge was so beautiful ..♡ Working Holiday works for everything from brunch to dinner, so next time I'd like to come for dinner and watch the bridge at night ✨
How to order at Working Holiday Millak, and menu prices
You order at the kiosk outside the entrance, and takeout is available. We ordered a margherita pizza (₩20,000), clam shrimp oil pasta (₩19,000) and a lemon peach ade (₩7,500).

Working Holiday Millak serves a wide range of Western dishes: pasta, pizza, French toast, sandwiches, soup and more. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. it focuses on brunch and coffee, so it's easy to drop in like a regular café, and after 5 p.m. it becomes a dinner space. Brunch hours need no reservation, while dinner offers table reservations.

How do the clam shrimp oil pasta and margherita pizza taste?
Clam shrimp oil pasta, margherita pizza and the signature lemon peach ade: a good-looking brunch spread was complete :)

The lemon peach ade blends sweet-tart peach syrup with lemonade, so it's refreshing, and it went well with the brunch dishes we ordered with it 🍋🍑

Margherita pizza
The margherita pizza at Working Holiday Millak comes fresh out of the wood-fired oven, with a thin, chewy crust topped with rich tomato sauce and mozzarella. It's full of flavor, and light and fresh, so it was delicious 🍕

The brightness of the tomato sauce and the soft, nutty richness of the mozzarella were just right for brunch!

Clam and shrimp oil pasta
The clam shrimp oil pasta is loaded with fresh clams and plump shrimp, with chewy al dente noodles and a mild kick of spice, so it never felt heavy and I kept reaching for more.

If you want something light for brunch, I recommend the margherita pizza and oil pasta combo :) The pasta is only mildly spicy, so even people who don't handle spicy food well can enjoy it comfortably.

There's also a wine cellar by the entrance stocked with a variety of wines, and dinner with wine here sounds like it'd have a really nice mood 🥂
Verdict: is Working Holiday Millak worth it for an ocean-view brunch in Gwangalli?

If you're looking for an ocean-view brunch café in Gwangalli, or things to do in Gwangalli on a Busan trip, I recommend Working Holiday Millak :) With the open ocean view of Gwangan Bridge, the stylish mid-century modern interior and the good-vibes atmosphere, it's an easy pick for a date, a friends' meetup or a family meal. It's lovely as a relaxed brunch café by day and as a moody dinner spot in the evening.
