We had already eaten dinner, so I was looking for somewhere to have a light beer and a snack, and I heard about a newly opened Euljiro date spot, so I dropped by.

What impressed me most was the draft beer quality-control master certificate hanging in the shop! Knowing they care about how they handle draft beer made me look forward to the taste even more.

Cass Foam Foam vs Sulsul: taste and golden time
Cass Foam Foam was exactly what the name says: a glass filled with soft foam. Cass Sulsul had soft foam on top and cool beer underneath. Foam Foam gave a fluffy mouthful of foam, perfect as a first glass, and it was definitely a different experience from the draft beer I usually drink.
The Sulsul I ordered alongside it let me enjoy the softness of the foam and the sharp fizz of the beer at the same time, and it really did go down smoothly, just like its name ("sulsul" means smoothly).
One fun thing is that the recommended "golden time" differs depending on the beer. They recommend drinking Foam Foam within 30 seconds and Sulsul within 3 minutes. Having such careful standards for a single glass of beer showed how serious they are about it.
A light bar snack when you're full: sugar-coated corn
🌽 Eulsam Hof's corn with sugar (옥수수 설탕 범벅) is a sweet-and-salty snack: sweet corn sprinkled with a salty seasoning like ramyeon (instant noodle) soup powder. Since we'd already had dinner, I ordered this light snack, and it was way tastier than I expected!
The sweet-salty combo was spot on. Picking it up one kernel at a time, you find your hand keeps going back for more. Addictive! It went really well with the cold draft beer too. You can eat it without feeling weighed down even when you're full, so I'd recommend it as a simple beer snack.
One last glass: Toktok draft beer
Not wanting the night to end, I ordered a Toktok beer, and it tasted much rougher, which was fun. The rough foam changes the flavor, and that felt new again.

What I liked is that Eulsam Hof isn't just a place that sells beer but a space where you can enjoy draft beer in a slightly more special way. The foam and fizz that change with the pouring method, even a golden time set for each beer! You can feel their sincerity about beer in the small details.
The atmosphere is relaxed and good for spending a light evening, so it works well as a second round after an Euljiro date. And I absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a spot to drink solo in Euljiro! Next time I definitely want to try the Taktak I couldn't have this day.
