Seohae Korean BBQ with 100g pork cuts: Euljiro Yeontan Gui

In short

Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Seohae, Incheon, where pork and scallops are grilled over charcoal briquettes. I ordered 100g portions of pork belly, pork jowl, skirt meat, gochujang pork belly, pork skin, and six scallops for 12,900 won. Verdict: a great pick when you want to sample lots of cuts in small portions.

These days, when I go to a BBQ restaurant, I often end up properly eating just one menu item and leaving. But I loved this place because it was so good for ordering little bits of everything, from meat to seafood. Calling all land, sea, and air food lovers!!

Charcoal briquettes and an old-school BBQ restaurant feel

I found Euljiro Yeontan Gui Luone City Branch while looking for a good restaurant near Gajeong Station. As the name suggests, this is a place where you grill meat over charcoal briquettes.

It really had the old-school BBQ restaurant vibe that is hard to find these days, and the moment I walked in, it somehow brought back memories!

100g cuts of meat and grilled scallops

Here is what I ordered. I did not want to eat only one kind of meat that day, so I picked several cuts in 100g portions.

Meat menu ordered in 100g portions
  • Pork belly, 100g
  • Pork jowl, 100g
  • Pork skirt meat, 100g
  • Grilled scallops
  • Pork skin
  • Gochujang pork belly, 100g

One reason I liked this place was that you can order such a variety of things in small amounts.

Selection of several types of meat

If you are not someone who eats a lot of meat, trying small portions of several kinds is so much better than ordering a lot of just one cut, right? It also felt relatively easy on the wallet, making this a great Gajeong Station BBQ spot for picking a range of menu items.

The lightly frozen shredded radish salad served here is insanely good! You absolutely have to eat it while it is still frozen.

I ordered doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew), and it came with a complimentary bean sprout soup too?

Pork belly and scallops with a gentle charcoal aroma

Pork belly grilled over charcoal briquettes. Of course, I put the pork belly on first, and the charcoal gave it a subtle aroma that made it taste different from meat grilled on an ordinary griddle. The pork belly was savory and nicely juicy, and it went well with wraps and side dishes. I think the appeal of this kind of charcoal grilling is that gentle smoky flavor.

Grilling scallops alongside the meat over the charcoal was a pretty great combination. Having a piece of seafood between bites of meat felt like a little refresh for my mouth, so I just kept eating. If you are looking near Gajeong Station for a place where you can have meat and seafood together, this setup seems pretty solid.

Scallops grilling alongside meat

I grilled the scallops too, then dipped them in chogochujang (sweet-tangy red chili dipping sauce). Why were the scallops so fresh? Six were around ₩12,900, such a good value that you do not even need to go to a shellfish grill restaurant.

Gochujang pork belly and pork skin to finish

To finish: gochujang pork belly and pork skin. I was not ready to end with plain pork belly alone, so I added another 100g of gochujang pork belly.

The seasoning made it taste completely different from the meat I had eaten earlier, so it was nice for the end. They changed out both grills for us. Grill the pineapple and eat it together—so good. Personally, everything I ordered that day was reliably tasty, and it was fun choosing different things. Above all, because you can order in 100g units, I think it would be good on a first visit to try little portions of several cuts, then add more of whatever you like.

The pork skin was seriously delicious that day. Just ₩5,000, and that was for two pieces....

There is a self-service bar, so you can comfortably help yourself.

A Gajeong Station BBQ spot for choosing lots of dishes

A place I would like to revisit if I were looking for a good restaurant near Gajeong Station. Everything I tried was good, and more than anything, I loved being able to choose whatever suited me—from pork belly, pork jowl, skirt meat, pork skin, and gochujang pork belly to grilled scallops—instead of focusing on a single menu item. These days, even one menu item at a BBQ restaurant can feel expensive, but here you can order several cuts at a relatively good value, so I think choosing dishes would be easy when visiting with a group too. The retro charcoal-grilling atmosphere was fun, parking was easy, and the owner was kind. If, like me, you enjoy eating little portions of many different things, this place should suit you especially well!
